British YouTuber and rapper Yung Filly has been arrested for alleged sexual abuse.

Crime squad detectives arrested 29-year-old Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, known as Yung Filly, in Brisbane on Tuesday and extradited him to Perth on Wednesday.

He is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s at his Perth hotel on September 28 after a performance at Bar1 Nightclub in Hillarys, north Perth, on the night of September 27.

The rapper, who has more than three million followers on Instagram, had performed at the Havana Nightclub on the Gold Coast two days before his arrest.

He has been charged with four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault and one count of impeding a person’s normal breathing or circulation by putting pressure on the neck.

Barrientos will face the Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday.

The event at Bar1, where Barrientos performed prior to the alleged attack, marketed the British rapper’s performance as the “ultimate evening escapade.”

He famously collaborated with fellow British rapper Aitch on the song Grey, which received over 2.5 million views on YouTube and 10 million streams on Spotify.

The 29-year-old has since hosted several shows on the BBC network – including Hot Property and Yung Filly’s Celeb Lock-In – and appeared on Channel 4’s The Great Celebrity Bake Off.

Barrientos has also collaborated with several fashion brands, including recent collaborations with ASOS and Perplex, as well as many major companies including McDonald’s, British fashion retailer Primark and Captain Morgan Rum.

His Australian tour had started in Perth before heading to Melbourne, Sydney and the Gold Coast where he played four shows.
