Croatian model Ivana Knoll, who was named the World Cup’s ‘sexiest fan’ in Qatar, has taken to Instagram to express her disappointment after Croatia’s hopes of qualifying for the Euro 2024 knockout stages were left hanging by a thread.
Her side were held to an embarrassing draw by Italy on Monday evening after Mattia Zaccagni’s equalizer in the eighth minute of stoppage time canceled out Luka Modric’s second-half goal that put Croatia ahead.
Had Croatia managed to maintain this, they would have finished above Italy in Group B and booked their place in the knockout stages.
With Croatia having collected just two points and a goal difference of minus three, it looks like they may just miss out on a place in the last 16 as one of the best third-placed teams.
At the moment, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia all appear to be ahead, but Croatia can still qualify if England beat Slovenia by four or more goals on Tuesday evening.

Knoll posted a photo of himself in the stadium before the game with the caption “We’re ready.”
But after the match she responded to the crushing draw against Italy by posting a video of the players on the pitch with a vomit and poop emoji
Disappointed by the result, Knoll posted a full-time Instagram story of the scenes at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig, adding a ‘vomiting face emoji’ to the story.
The 31-year-old model, who initially gained fame and a social media following by attending Croatia’s matches at the 2022 World Cup in skimpy outfits, was present in Germany and followed her throughout the group stage.
Knoll had arrived at the Leipzig stadium early and appeared to have been filmed as part of a television program in the stands.
She posted several clips of herself to her Instagram Story wearing a red and white checked top as she posed for a camera before later posting a preview of the clip to her Instagram Story.
The Croatian has three million followers on Instagram and also operates a swimsuit brand and is a DJ.
She was seen soaking up the atmosphere at the Red Bull arena with other Croatian fans as supporters sang and waved pyrotechnic flares in the air.
She had also posted a video online before the match, in which she and hundreds of other Croatian fans enjoyed the atmosphere in the streets of Leipzig.
In the clip, Knoll was seen dancing next to a group of musicians dressed in Croatian football shirts while playing the guitar.

Knoll was recently in contact with German television presenter Laura Wontorra and broadcaster MagentaTV following Croatia’s 3-0 defeat by Spain in Berlin, after appearing in an interview with the television company.
It appeared some claims had been made about Knoll’s choice of clothing, with the Croatian complaining that it was cold during the interview while wearing a bikini top.
In a bizarre rant, Knoll published several posts on Instagram in which he lashed out at Wontorra and Magenta TV, writing: “Dear Laura, if I looked like this, I would only wear winter clothes forever.”
‘The most unprofessional television ever. Teach your presenters the culture and never invite me for an interview again,” she said, ending the message with a thumbs down emoji.

Knoll had also revealed earlier this year in June that she was single again after splitting from her boyfriend of ten years.
She told BILD: ‘I had a boyfriend who I was with for ten years. We broke up last year. Now I’m single, but right now I’m not looking for a new man.’
Knoll had also stated that she was sad to see Jack Grealish left out of Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the tournament in Germany.
