Wolves remain interested in Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale and Palace’s Sam Johnstone.

Mail Sport reported that Wolves had offered Ramsdale a loan with an option to buy last week.

The offer came from Wolves and have just £20 million to spend this time frame.

Ramsdale, 26, has made 89 appearances for Arsenal since joining from Sheffield United in 2021 for an initial transfer fee of £24million.

The England international enjoyed a strong debut season at the club and was named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year for the 2022-23 season.

Wolves are keen on a deal to sign Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale before the deadline

Ramsdale lost his place in Arsenal’s starting XI to David Raya last season and is still Mikel Arteta’s number 2.

The 26-year-old player is keen to play regularly again and has already attracted a lot of interest in the summer.

Southampton have considered approaching the goalkeeper, while Arsenal previously rejected a loan offer from Ajax.

Newcastle made enquiries about Ramsdale earlier this year, but Arsenal’s asking price was deemed too high at the time, but they are now considering lower bids to give the goalkeeper a chance to kick-start his career.

The Gunners have set their sights on Espanyol’s Joan Garcia as a possible replacement.

Johnstone is another option for Wolves having lost his number 1 shirt at Crystal Palace this summer.

Dean Henderson, who wore number 30 last season, has been given Johnstone’s number, suggesting he will be first choice under Oliver Glasner.

Johnstone, who was the Eagles’ preferred goalkeeper for much of last season, was on the bench for Crystal Palace’s opening two Premier League games.
