A law student turned influencer has been spotted in Bali riding a scooter without a helmet.

Tahlia Skaines, originally from the Gold Coast, lives in Bali with her boyfriend and is building a luxury villa overlooking Dreamland Beach.

Last week she was photographed riding a scooter with her mother on the back, both without helmets, near the popular Bingin Beach.

Mrs. Skaines wore a short gray dress with a black bag over her shoulder and sandals, and a shopping bag at her feet.

Wearing a helmet is mandatory on scooters and motorbikes in Bali. Violators risk a fine of 250,000 rupiah (approximately $23).

Although many motorcyclists, both locals and tourists, are often seen without helmets, visitors to the Indonesian country are not insured in the event of an accident if they do not wear proper protection.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Ms Skaines for comment.

Shane Ramsey, 30, from Perth, was unfortunately eliminated last week after suffering serious brain injuries in a motorcycle accident in Bali.

The professional was on the Indonesian island for a wedding and was riding a moped in Seminyak when he crashed into a pole on the side of the road.

He was not wearing a helmet and had no travel insurance, which would have cost him only about $50 a week.

Mr Ramsey was rushed to hospital, where he underwent brain surgery and fell into a coma, racking up huge hospital bills.

His family paid $70,000 for him to undergo emergency neurological surgery and arranged a medical evacuation flight, which is believed to have cost around $150,000.

Mr Ramsey arrived in Perth at approximately 5pm on August 22 and was taken by ambulance to the intensive care unit at Royal Perth Hospital.

However, his mother, Catherine Ramsey, said she and her family were “devastated” after they decided to turn off his life support in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Shane will reportedly donate all of his organs to people in dire need of a transplant.
