Vladimir Putin, 71, demands Russian scientists hand over latest research into anti-ageing remedies in suspected bid to extend his life

Russian scientists have been ordered to hand over details of their latest anti-aging research, presumably to keep Vladimir Putin and his circle of septuagenarian henchmen alive.

According to a source, the edict came from the “biggest boss” and made authorities rush to carry out the alleged instructions of the 71-year-old dictator.

Putin has long been interested in anti-aging, but now there seems to be a new urgency to pursue “active longevity.”

A letter sent by his Ministry of Health in June, demanding the latest developments on turning back the biological clock, was revealed by independent news outlets Meduza and Sistema.

It has shocked senior medical researchers.

A source said: ‘The top boss set a task, and officials rushed to carry it out in every possible way.’

An informant said: ‘We were asked to send all the developments urgently, and the letter came, let’s say, today, while everything had to be sent yesterday.

‘Honestly, this is the first time in my life that I experience something like this – usually a national project or FTP [Federal Target programme] “It is preceded by a series of meetings involving various specialists, a kind of public discussion,” explained a doctor from a national medical research center.

Experts were instructed to submit “development proposals” to reduce cell deterioration, the report said.

They were tasked to highlight new technologies that prevent cognitive and sensory disorders, as well as methods to correct the immune system and new medical technology based on bioprinting.

The Russian dictator currently has the legal authority to remain in power until 2036, after an extension was voted in in 2020, meaning he will remain in power until he is well into his 80s.

Putin is surrounded by a circle of older henchmen, such as Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov (74), head of the FSB security service Alexander Bortnikov (72), senior adviser Nikolai Patrushev (73), SVR spy chief Sergei Naryshkin (70) and chair of the Russian Senate Valentina Matvyenko (75).

“We received this document and, frankly, I was shocked,” said another outraged source.

The message itself confused me.

‘Well, of course we don’t have anyone to restore now except these old stumps [elderly Russian politicians].

That is to say, right now [during the war] We have to drop everything.

“This cynicism is even astonishing.”

A source close to the Kremlin said: “All the modern research discussed in the national project is quite expensive – it costs a lot of money and expenses.

‘Developing new medicines costs billions, no national project can raise that, certainly not now.’

Some see the hand of Putin’s close ally, Mikhail Kovalchuk, 77, head of the Kurchatov Institute, Russia’s main nuclear institute, as the man behind the initiative.

He is seen as a conspiracy theorist and advocates the development of a so-called ‘Russian genome’. He also speaks of ‘a weapon that is aimed at a specific ethnicity’.

He accuses foreign states of wanting to create a new type of ‘servant man’.

Putin’s daughter Maria Vorontsova, 39, an endocrinologist, is also said to be involved in the quest for a longer life.

This is because Putin has recently appeared weak and unattractive, fueling rumors about his declining health and mental state.

Footage from official meetings and appearances shows the Russian president clinging to tables, tapping his feet and looking unsteady as he walks. His appearance has become increasingly round and plump over the years.

In December, Putin canceled a presidential trip to Pskov at the last minute due to “unfavorable flight conditions,” despite weather forecasts predicting clear skies, prompting questions about his health.

He then postponed a visit to Russia’s largest tank factory in Nizhny Tagil and canceled his usual attendance at his end-of-year ministerial meeting. His traditional December press conference and end-of-year ice hockey match were also canceled.

Also last October, the Kremlin was pressured to deny rumors that Putin had suffered a cardiac arrest, with spokesman Dmitry Peskov calling the speculation “fake.”

Earlier this year, Putin announced that Russia needed a new national project aimed at “preserving the health” of its citizens.

One of the programs is the fight against aging, with the aim of saving 175,000 lives by 2030.

At the same time, Putin’s war is believed to have cost hundreds of thousands of lives.

The dictator was dealt a blow earlier this year by the sudden death of his longtime anti-aging guru, Professor Vladimir Khavinson, 77 and director of the Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology in St. Petersburg.

Khavinson claimed that he was discovering the secret of how people could live to 110 or 120 years old by slowing down the aging process.

He is known to have tried to help three previous Kremlin leaders – Leonid Brezhnev, Yuri Andropov and Boris Yeltsin – but complained that he had been invited too late to significantly extend their lives.

Putin’s lover Alina Kabaeva, 41, joined other top Russian gymnasts in taking his “Khavinson peptides,” anti-aging and healing cocktails he developed after years of secret research while serving in the Soviet Red Army.

Regarding the photo Putin took in 2013 of himself riding a horse naked, he said: ‘Beautiful photo – this is how a man should look.

Why is he perfect?

“He doesn’t smoke, he doesn’t drink, he plays sports. His example should be followed. Everyone, young and old, should do the same.”

He predicted that the strongman could last at least another 20 years, his potential is very high, but he did not admit whether Putin took his peptides.

“I was a military scientist at the time and my goal was to develop new drugs to boost organ utilization in military personnel,” he said.

This comes as Putin arrives in Mongolia today as a member of the international court that has issued a warrant for his arrest.

The official visit, during which he will meet Mongolian leader Ukhnaa Khurelsukh on Tuesday, is Putin’s first to a member state of the International Criminal Court since the court issued an arrest warrant for him nearly 18 months ago on charges of war crimes in Ukraine.

Ukraine has called on Mongolia to arrest Putin and hand him over to a court in The Hague.

A spokesman for the Russian leader said last week that the Kremlin is not concerned about the visit.
