Vernon Kay left his BBC Radio 2 co-host Scott Mills stunned when he told how he first met his wife Tess Daly.
During Friday’s broadcast, Vernon, 50, traveled back in time and reminisced about meeting his beloved wife Tess, to whom he was married for 21 years.
As Britney Spears’ Stronger faded from radio airplay, he revealed that the couple had starred in a parody video for the pop icon’s hit Baby One More Time for the 2000s music show Top of the Pops@play.
“It was Tess Daly from Strictly Come Dancing and I, remaking the video for Britney Spears’ ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’. That’s how we first met,” Vernon revealed.
‘Yes, I was dressed…no, she was dressed as Geri Halliwell in the Spice Girls’ Union Jack dress; I was dressed as Britney Spears in the video for ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’ – it was in a charity shop on Shepherd’s Green, Shepherd’s Bush Green.’

During Friday’s episode, Vernon, 50, took a trip back in time and recounted with nostalgia how we met his beloved wife of 21 years, Tess (pictured together in July).
Scott, who also worked on the series, was stunned by the revelation, asking, “And you thought for a moment it was me instead of your wife?”
“Well, no, I think we talked about it. I think you instigated it. I think you set it up as, ‘Why don’t you and our new presenter, Tess Daly, do this?’” Vernon replied.
Tess, 55, and the presenter have been happily married since 2003 and have two daughters: Phoebe, 19, and Amber, 14.
In July, the couple were spotted on a night out with Phoebe at the star-studded UK launch of Gin & Juice by Dr Dre and Snoop at Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace in west London.
The presenter appeared to be in a cheerful mood as she looked stunning in a high-necked white mini dress, which showed off her tanned legs.
Tess teamed the ensemble with white boots and a multi-print Fendi shoulder bag, which retails for over £2,000.
Meanwhile, Vernon looked handsome as he wore a tight white sweater, like his wife, combined with black jeans.

The radio host also added that he was dressed as Britney Spears in the music video for Hit Me Baby One More Time (pictured), her 1999 debut single from her debut studio album of the same name.

Meanwhile, Phoebe looked just like her mother as she posed alongside her proud parents in a gorgeous red mini dress paired with nude heels.
Tess and Phoebe were twin sisters: they both wore their blonde locks loose, with Phoebe completing her look with a gold sequined bag.
They seemed to be having a great time, they put on a lively show and were laughing all evening.
