“A good friend of mine who saw poetry in the natural world. His boots are impossible to fill, but this life is about chasing the greats.”

He shared a photo of himself with Bill, smiling for the camera while wearing cowboy hats and standing in front of a meadow.

Earlier, the Anyone But You actor said that his new film is not a sequel or reboot.

“It’s definitely not a reboot. We’re not trying to recreate the story of the first installment,” Glen shared with Fashion last year.

“It’s a completely original story. There are no characters from the original film back, so it’s not really a continuation. It’s just a standalone story set in the modern day.”

“I don’t think anyone has brought this movie up in ages, but when you talk to people, they say, ‘That was one of my favorite movies growing up. That movie scared the hell out of me,’” he continued.

According to the film’s logline: “Kate Cooper is ravaged by a devastating encounter with a tornado and lured back to the open plains by her boyfriend Javi to test a groundbreaking new tracking system.

She soon encounters Tyler Owens, a charming but reckless social media superstar who likes to post his storm chasing adventures on the Internet.

‘As storm season gets underway, Kate, Tyler and their competing teams fight for their lives as multiple storm systems converge over central Oklahoma.’

Powell’s latest film adventure is being hailed by critics as the “blockbuster of the summer,” as the tornado film hits theaters nearly 30 years after the original.

The standards Maddy Mussen described Twisters as “as thrilling as it is emotional” and called Daisy and Glenn “natural leads” in her five-star review of the film, which left her “wanting to know more.”

The independent’Clarisse Loughrey was also impressed, giving the film four out of five stars, claiming that the story is “so intense it’s almost terrifying.”

Robbie Collin from The Telegraph was full of praise, calling the film the “best moviegoing experience” since Top Gun: Maverick, which Powell also starred in.

James Paxton, 30, opened up about what it was like to star in the film his late father was so famous for. He said he usually feels closest to his father on the set of a film or TV series.

“It’s really a cameo, so it’s an Easter egg for the fans of Dad and the original. I made this for Dad,” said James Paxton, pictured with his father in 2010

“Well, initially my agents sent me an audition and I had to read for a role. A while went by and I didn’t really hear anything, so I made peace with, ‘Oh, I guess it might not work out.’ And then I heard from my team that they offered me a role,” Paxton said. Entertainment weekly earlier this month.

The younger Paxton had to “think about it for a while” whether to do the film, given “the context of my father and his significance in the original and the fact that he wasn’t there.”

He added: ‘It’s an emotional issue. It wasn’t something I could really decide right away. It took some time to process it, just the magnitude of it.’
