TV star looks unrecognisable as he promotes new tour after previously claiming he ‘lost his ability to be funny’

A TV star was unrecognizable as he took to Instagram to promote his new tour.

The comedian and sitcom actor announced his new tour with a video in the style of one of his most famous characters.

The comedian and author revealed to his 2 million followers on Instagram that he would soon be heading to Australia and New Zealand for a series of 14 shows.

David Walliams made the revelation on social media on Saturday in a humorous video in which he revives his character Carol Bear, whose famous catchphrase is: “Computer says no.”

The 52-year-old writer is heading Down Under in September and October, following his revelation last year that his controversial court case had prevented him from expressing his sense of humour.

In a video posted the next day, David, dressed in the same costume, announces in an emotionless tone that his new tour will begin in September.

He says, ‘Woohoo, just one more month and David Walliams will be on stage in Australia.’ Then he rolls his eyes and sighs exaggeratedly.

He captioned the video with a link to the tickets on his website.

According to High Court documents obtained by The Sun in 2023, the TV personality also said he was struggling with “active suicidal thoughts” and had lost “the ability to be funny” over fears his comments would be leaked without his consent.

But it appears the star has put the incident behind her and is excited to be back in the spotlight.

The comedian, who rose to fame with his sketch show Little Britain, revealed in March that despite his and ex-wife Lara Stone’s fame, he wanted his son Alfred, 11, to have a normal life.
