After causing a stir earlier this month when he left a Thousand Oaks gym, observant fans began speculating that he had recently undergone surgery, as he was left with large vertical scars on both knees.
The visible scars from knee surgery would explain why he “appeared to be struggling” to walk back to his car, as seen in footage obtained by In contact weekly.
DailyMail.com contacted representatives of the former Magnum PI at the time.
Tom has not spoken publicly about the need for bilateral knee replacement surgery, also known as a double knee replacement.
Last summer his representative denied RadarOnline’s claiming he suffered from “a secret medical crisis that forced him to use a stunt double during the filming of Blue Bloods.”
Although the outlet claimed he was in “a great deal of pain and agony” and was working with doctors to “learn techniques to relieve his pain,” his spokesperson insisted Tom was “fit and energetic.”
In January 2023, Tom’s spokesperson also denied The Daily Star’s claim that the artist was struggling with “crippling arthritis”.
In response to the article, Tom’s representative stated that their client was in “excellent health.”
