Tom Robertson had it all: A beautiful wife and a baby on the way. Then he was dealt the worst news – and died just four weeks after his little girl was born

A Queensland man who became a father just four weeks ago and died from a brain tumour is being remembered as someone who lived a life full of love.

Tom Robertson was first diagnosed with a brain tumor in January 2020.

After surgery, chemotherapy and radiation were completed, doctors told Mr Robertson and his partner of 10 years, Tarsha, that their results had stabilised.

Months later, the loving couple married, but happiness turned to tragedy again when Mr Robertson was diagnosed with brain tumours again in November 2023.

Mrs Robertson was 16 weeks pregnant with their first child when doctors told the couple that several tumours had developed, some more aggressive and one of which was inoperable.

Despite the heartbreaking news, the couple welcomed the “most beautiful little girl” in May 2024.

However, a week later, Mr Robertson was admitted to the palliative care unit at Sunshine Coast University Hospital and later transferred to Dove House in Caloundra.

Sadly, Mr Robertson lost his battle with cancer four weeks after the birth of his daughter.

Family friend Courtney Robertson, who has a GoFundMe campaign to cover Mr Feldman’s funeral expenses, said the 31-year-old would be “deeply missed”.

“The love that Tarsha and Tom have for each other is something you read about in books or see in movies,” Robertson said.

‘They grew up together from 19-year-olds to recently turning 31 and starting a family.

“Their love for each other was evident until the very end and was absolutely undeniably electric.”

Mrs. Robertson remembered her friend as someone who always made her laugh.

“Tom, thank you for having such a wicked sense of humor and making me laugh all the time,” she wrote on the GoFundMe campaign.

‘For your strength and for giving Tarsha the chance to be herself.’
