This six-bedroom ‘Tudor home’ in Brisbane just sold for 6.5 times the median price – and it’s not just because of the tennis court and pool

A six-bedroom Tudor-style home in Queensland has sold for a whopping 6.5 times the average house price, thanks to the sheer size of the lot and its impressive design.

The home, 13km south of Brisbane in Robertson, sold at auction last weekend for $6.2 million, beating the current average house price in the region of $1.975 million.

Over the past 12 months, prices have risen by 24.8 percent and the area has become attractive to developers due to the vast amount of plots available.

It was the largest sale in the state in the past week and was sold to a family with dual Chinese-Australian nationality.

In 2022, the property was sold to a developer for a whopping $17.25 million, but according to realestate.com.au, the deal likely fell through because another developer wanted to take over the block in the long term.

Selling agent Jimmy Lu of Ray White told FEMAIL that the property is in a prime location, close to schools and shops, and was previously owned by the same family for 34 years.
