The eye-watering sum Nikola Jokic spent on for his Serbia teammates after Olympic success

Nikola Jokic spent a staggering six-figure sum to ensure that all 11 players on the Serbian basketball team for the Olympic Games had a Rolex on their wrist after winning bronze.

The NBA MVP gave a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona to each of his fellow countrymen who played in Paris earlier this summer as a token of his appreciation for them, according to Look.

According to the Serbian gossip magazine, the model costs around $32,500.

In total, Jokic paid $357,000 to purchase the watches.

NBA fans, however, weren’t necessarily impressed with Jokic’s gesture. Some wondered why he didn’t show any appreciation for his Denver Nuggets teammates, with whom he won a championship in 2023.

“Where are Jama Murray and MPJ’s watches?” someone asked on X, to which someone else replied, “They make enough money to buy their own watches.”

Another fan agreed that Jokic’s teammates in Denver “make fat NBA salaries so they don’t need to.” [gifts].
