That’s not in Wimbledon’s dress code! Ukraine No 1 tennis star Marta Kostyuk poses topless in a white skirt for Vogue on the eve of the SW19 Championships

Tennis star Marta Kostyuk starred in the latest edition of Vogue Ukraine, with the 21-year-old posing topless ahead of next week’s Wimbledon match.

The Ukrainian No. 1 is one of several athletes featured in the magazine, with the latest issue featuring stars preparing for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games this summer.

Vogue Ukraine said the edition celebrates “legendary athletes and new stars of national sports.”

Kostyuk is hailed in the magazine as the new star of Ukrainian tennis, with ‘big hopes’ of being ranked 18 in the world.

The tennis star is pictured topless during the shoot, wearing only white nylon skirt-shorts, in a photo published in the issue.

The skirt-shorts were supplied by clothing brand Intertop.

Canoeist Lyudmyla Luzan, fencer, Olga Harlan, long jumper Oksana Zubkovska and judoka Darya Bilodid are among other Ukrainian athletes featured.

Kostyuk is not the first tennis player to pose topless during his career.

Fellow star Caroline Wozniacki and former Polish star Agnieska Radwanska both posed nude for magazines during their careers.

Kostyuk’s appearance in the magazine comes ahead of Wimbledon, where the third Grand Slam event of the season begins next week.

The rising star will have high hopes for improvement following her third-round exit at the All England Club last year.

The result is currently Kostyuk’s best performance at Wimbledon in her three main draw appearances.

Kostyuk has had an impressive season so far, reaching the quarter-finals of the Australian Open, where she was defeated by American star Coco Gauff.

This season she reached two finals on the WTA tour, losing to British No. 1 Katie Boulter in San Diego in February.

Kostyuk was defeated by 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina in the final of the Stuttgart Open, and by world No. 1 Iga Swiatek in the semifinals of the prestigious Indian Wells tournament in California.

The 21-year-old was appointed ambassador for US sportswear brand Wilson last year, using and helping test the company’s rackets, shoes and clothing.

Kostyuk also enlisted Wilson to design the dress for her wedding to Heorhii Sudakov last year. The brand also designed her husband’s suit for the ceremony at a luxury resort in Cyprus.

“Wilson has always supported my dreams on the court, but my relationship with the brand goes far beyond tennis,” Kostyuk wrote last year.

‘A big shout out and big thank you to the talented team there who worked around my demanding tour schedule to make a new dream come true; a custom-made, one-of-a-kind wedding dress that turned out even more amazing than I could have imagined.”

Kostyuk reportedly plays an important role in designing her kits.

The Ukrainian tennis player, who lives in Monte Carlo, has spoken out about Russia’s ongoing invasion of her home country.

Kostyuk has refused to shake hands with players from Russia and Belarus during the clash, which led to her being controversially booed at the 2023 French Open.

Last year, Kostyuk founded a charity focused on supporting children in Ukraine during the ongoing conflict.
