Briana DeJesus was nervous when her mother Roxanne returned home from a stay in rehab on Thursday’s episode of MTV’s Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.
“I understand she’s had a rough time with heroin. Bad. A teenager, like Nova’s age, using heroin,” said Briana, 30. “She may want to go back to opioids. I don’t know.”
The season two episode Pursue You opened with Briana saying she had no idea how to handle Roxanne’s return.
Briana revealed in a confessional that she set boundaries with her mother by keeping the children away from her, but she questioned whether that was still the right thing to do.
In West Virginia, Leah Messer, 32, took her daughter Aliannah to her physical therapy appointment. Leah revealed in a confessional that she was diagnosed with a rare form of muscular dystrophy a few months after Aliannah was born.

“Now, like any other teenager, she wants to fit in and so she protests to me about using her wheelchair. Instead, she relies heavily on me and my sister,” Leah said.
Leah had lunch with her sister Victoria and talked about how her daughter didn’t want to use the wheelchair. Victoria said her stubbornness and independence were inspiring, but she had to accept her limitations because of the disease.
Cheyenne Floyd, 30, revealed that her ex-girlfriend Cory Wharton, 33, was set to compete on the show The Challenge and she was worried about how their daughter Ryder would react to being away from him for so long.
Meanwhile, in Seattle, Cory was talking to his girlfriend Taylor Selfridge about Cheyenne coming to Seattle with his other daughters while he was gone. He asked Taylor if she was okay and she said it was awkward because people kept asking her where her husband was.
“Sometimes I get embarrassed when I go out with the kids and they ask, ‘Where’s your husband?’” Taylor said. “Hmm, I don’t have a husband.”
“You could just say it,” Cory said. “We have two kids and a brand new house together.”
“You can’t just call me your wife,” Taylor said. “You haven’t made me a woman yet.”
“Just because you don’t have the ring yet doesn’t mean you’re not my wife,” Cory said.

The next day, Taylor took Cory to the airport and drove away crying.
At Jade Cline’s home in Indiana, she hoped her mother Christy would only be placed on house arrest for a probation violation stemming from her marijuana charge. She later learned that the court had denied her house arrest and sentenced her to 62 days in jail.
“The whole situation is a mess,” said Jade, 27.
She was worried about what to tell Kloie.
Cheyenne told her husband Zach Davis that Ryder was excited about the trip to Seattle. She called Taylor to see how she was doing and if they could make Seattle work.
“Mila misses her big sister too, so I think it’s a good idea,” Taylor said.
Cory called Cheyenne and Ryder said she wanted a pink Gucci bag if he won the Challenge.
Leah said she wanted to encourage her family to be less supportive of her daughter and teach her how to be more independent.
Brianna told her daughter Nova that their grandmother was coming back from the airport. Devoin, Nova’s father, was coming over to watch the children.
“Sometimes I feel embarrassed when I go places with the kids and they’re like, ‘Where’s your husband?’” Taylor Selfridge said. “Hmm, I don’t have a husband.”
“Just because you don’t have the ring doesn’t mean you’re not my wife,” Cory said
The next day Taylor took Cory to the airport and drove away crying
“I know she’s just coming home, she’s not going to be a completely different person,” Brianna said. “So we’ll see what happens. But I think everything’s going to be okay.”
Her mother Roxanne got into the car and said her children wanted to see her.
“What’s your plan now?” Brianna said. “And you’re 100 percent off the methadone?”
“Yes, absolutely,” Roxanne said. “That’s what I went there for. I did it. It was hard.”
Cheyenne flew to Seattle with her kids and checked into her AirBnb. Taylor came over and Ryder and Ace were excited to see Mila and Maya and hugged them. Cheyenne asked Taylor how she was doing after Cory went on MTV and said that everyone kept asking him when he was getting married.
“Why wouldn’t you want a healthy marriage for your children, so they can see a healthy marriage?” Taylor said.
“I told him we have a child together, I’m going to be dealing with you for a long time,” Cheyenne said. “I want you to be the best version of yourself for Ryder and show her what men are supposed to do.”
“He doesn’t treat me bad,” Taylor said. “He treats me really well.”
“He really, really loves you and he’s really comfortable with you,” Cheyenne said. “And I want you to make him uncomfortable sometimes.”
“What’s your plan now?” Brianna said. “And you’re 100 percent off the methadone?”

“I used to cry and now I’m angry,” Taylor said. “I’m not going to waste my years on you.”
“My heart goes out to Taylor,” Cheyenne said in a confessional.
Brianna told her mother that she had to come up with a plan so that she wouldn’t be alone all the time. Roxanne said that she was on mood stabilizers and couldn’t bury her PTSD anymore.
“I wasn’t protected,” Roxanne said. “I didn’t want that for my children. I didn’t want that cycle to repeat itself.”
Roxanne said she hoped she was on the road to recovery.
“Thank you for being such a good daughter,” Roxanne said.
Jade let her father Corey move in with her after her mother went to prison. Later that day her mother Christy called her from prison. She said it was a tough pill to swallow when she was clean for 15 months for things she had done in her past.

“Let me tell you, I’m too old for this,” Christy said. “It’s horrible. I’m just trying to make the best of the situation I have.”
Jade didn’t want to tell her daughter that her grandmother was in prison.
Leah’s daughter Aliannah called her mother on a walkie-talkie and asked her to bring her water. Leah asked her if she was excited about going to high school.
“I’m going to take a step back and let you be more independent,” Leah said. “But over the years, we’ve also clouded your mind about the reality of your muscular disease.”
“I know where I can walk and where I can’t walk,” Aliannah said.
“You know your body better than anyone,” Leah said.
Cheyenne and Taylor were taking their kids around Seattle. Cory called to see how they were doing.
“Daddy loves you,” Cory said.
Cheyenne said co-parenting with Cory has taught her to put the kids first.
Briana met with her sister Brittany to talk about their mother.
“I’m going to take a step back and let you be more independent,” Leah said. “But over the years, we’ve also clouded your mind about the reality of your muscular disease.”
