Slash broke his silence following the tragic death of his stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight at the age of 25 earlier this month.
The 58-year-old Guns N’ Roses legend announced the death of his beloved stepdaughter in a heartbreaking Instagram statement last week. Her cause of death is currently unknown.
This past weekend, Slash shared a poignant selfie of Lucy-Bleu and described his grief over losing her.
He wrote: ‘My heart is permanently broken. I will never miss you again and remember what a beacon of happiness, laughter, creativity and beauty you have always been. And still are.
‘The brightest light in the lives of so many who loved you so much. I find comfort in the hope that you are now at peace. I will love you forever.

According to Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office records obtained by In contact weekly Knight died on July 19 at a private residence.
The autopsy has been completed and the body is ready for release, but the cause of death has been postponed pending additional testing. An investigator has been assigned to the case.
Slash has canceled four dates of his solo SERPENT Tour in mourning his devastating loss.
His message read: ‘Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024.
‘Lucy Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer and a charming, endearing, sweet soul.
“The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that speculation on social media be kept to a minimum as the family grieves and processes this devastating loss.”
Slash first dated Lucy’s mother Meegan Hodges in 1989, but renewed their relationship years later in 2015. Meegan had her late daughter Lucy with Mark Knight.
Meegan also shared the same statement on her Instagram, writing, “I love you”

Lucy had 35,000 followers on Instagram and reportedly worked for Electric Lady Management, the recording studio’s talent division.
Three hours after Slash made the announcement, a selfie of Lucy with a caption was shared on her Instagram.
It read: ‘Whether I made you feel left out, or I manipulated/controlled you, or I told you to quit your job because I was being financially supported by my parents, or I drowned real problems in toxic positivity – I’m sorry.
“Countless missed opportunities and connections due to a disgustingly large ego, insecure heart and fear of being vulnerable. May my soul learn to evolve from my bad job as Lucy-Bleu. Peace.”
