Simone Holtznagel has taken a dig at her ex-boyfriend Jono Castano and revealed how she’s coping with motherhood “alone.”
The 31-year-old model opens up about her life with her five-month-old daughter Gia, who she welcomed on Easter Sunday with her personal trainer Jono, 33.
Speaking with Women HealthSimone discussed the pros and cons of being a ‘solo’ mother, despite seemingly sharing parenting duties with Jono.
Simone, who has yet to comment on the split, conspicuously forgot to mention Jono in a rant in which she thanked her family and friends for their support.
When asked about the aspect of motherhood that surprised her, Simone shared, “Positive: I can do this alone. Negative: I do this alone.
‘My family and friends have done absolutely everything for me and I’m lucky that the negative things are a lot easier with them by my side.’
Despite the challenges of motherhood, Simone described parenting baby Gia as an “absolute joy” and admitted it wasn’t as difficult as she expected.
“Every day I tell myself, ‘This is the last day she’ll be this little,’ and that helps me enjoy even the smallest or most difficult moments,” she added.

The 31-year-old model has spoken candidly about life with her five-month-old baby daughter Gia, who she welcomed on Easter Sunday with her celebrity personal trainer Jono, 33.
She made her comments during a candid interview promoting her new campaign with Nala, Sorry To Offend You, which aims to break the stigma surrounding breastfeeding in public.
Jono showed his support for her campaign this week and appeared to be trying to win back his girlfriend, weeks after he publicly confirmed their split in July.
The owner of the Acero gym posted a sentimental message under a post about her promotion on Instagram, which shows Simone breastfeeding their daughter Gia.
“This is so yummy, well done Nuffle,” he wrote, apparently calling her by his pet name.
His complimentary comment came days after he was spotted leaving flowers at the “postpartum hotel” where Simone was staying with their newborn Gia, in an attempt to win her back.
Simone’s campaign comes after she kept a low profile following the shock news of her split from Jono last month.
Speaking to Women’s Health, Simone discussed the pros and cons of being a “solo” mother, despite the fact that she ostensibly co-parents her children with Jono.
Last month, Jono confirmed that he and Simone decided to split in May, just nine weeks after welcoming baby Gia on Easter Sunday.
“Who knows what the future holds, our idea is just to be the best parents for Gia at this time,” he said in a statement to Ny Breaking Australia at the time.
A close friend of the couple subsequently revealed that it had been unlikely for some time that Simone and Jono’s relationship would end.
A source said The Daily Telegraph that several friends and family members had warned Simone that her modeling life was not compatible with Jono’s career as a fitness influencer.
The first sign of trouble came when Jono posted photos of himself on a luxury holiday in Thailand, just days after Gia’s birth on March 31, without Simone and their baby.
Although many of Jono’s followers were enthusiastic about the photos, Simone did not like or comment on them.
