Police patrol vehicles could be seen running toward the building on Spring Street at 3rd Avenue before cordoning off several blocks in the area.

The officer began negotiating with the woman for more than an hour before she finally surrendered.

The FBI SWAT team then arrested her without any injuries around 4:12 p.m.

The FBI has reported an increase in threats against agency personnel and facilities in recent years.

A man armed with an AR-15 rifle and a nail gun tried to enter the FBI’s Cincinnati field office in 2022 and was killed hours later after a standoff with authorities.

And in August, a man rammed a barricade at an FBI office in Atlanta and then tried to follow an FBI employee on foot into the secure parking lot.
