In the early hours of this morning, a neighbourhood bust-up in Phuket took a dramatic and violent turn, leaving one man seriously injured in a brutal stabbing. The uproar erupted in Soi Bo Som, Mai Khao when a disgruntled neighbour’s noise complaint spiralled into chaos.

Police from Tha Chatchai received the distress call around 1.10am, today, November 14, and rushed to the scene, only to find that emergency responders had already whisked the victim away to Thalang Hospital. The injured man, 46 year old Jirasak Damsom, from Trang, bore the brunt of a vicious knife attack.

The drama unfolded as Jirasak was having a tipple with some friends when 43 year old Suebsakun On-yen, from Ranong, stormed over with a gripe about the racket. Words were exchanged, tempers flared, and in a flash, Suebsakun allegedly stabbed Jirasak, leaving him with no fewer than four stab wounds, as hospital photos later revealed.

Remarkably, after the frenzy, Suebsakun opted to stick around, calmly waiting for the police to show up. Officers promptly cuffed him and hauled him to the Tha Chatchai Police Station for a thorough grilling, said a police spokesperson.

“Suebsakun waited at the scene to surrender to police and was subsequently taken for further questioning.”

As investigators delve into the details, they aim to piece together the full story behind this shocking outburst, seeking to shed light on what triggered the savage attack.
