Nicole Kidman was the definition of old Hollywood glamor on Sunday when she attended the 4th annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles.

The Australian actress, 57, looked every inch a timeless beauty as she posed on the red carpet at the event at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.

The Babygirl star wowed in a black floor-length dress with a visible back section, an elegant train and long black gloves trailing up her lithe arms.

Nicole kept her accessories to a minimum for this star-studded event, opting to add a gold watch and statement earrings to her classic ensemble.

She wore her blonde locks parted and tied, adding extra height with a ’60s-style backcomb.

The gala honored veteran Rita Moreno, Gladiator II star Paul Mescal and Pulp Fiction director Quentin Tarantino.

Nicole’s red carpet appearance comes just days after her beloved mother Janelle’s funeral in Australia.

Janelle died in September at the age of 84, just hours before Nicole won the best actress award for her role in Babygirl at the Venice Film Festival.

Nicole and her husband Keith Urban attended Janelle’s funeral at St Francis Xavier Church with their two daughters Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 14.

Nicole’s older children Bella and Connor, whom she adopted with her ex-husband Tom Cruise, did not appear to attend the service.

They joined Nicole’s sister Antonia and her children Lucia, 26, Hamish, 23, and Sybella Hawley, 17, who she shares with her late husband Angus Hawley.

Antonia shares another son, James, with Angus – who died of a suspected heart attack in April 2015 – while she welcomed two more sons, Nicholas and Alexander, with her second husband Craig Marran.

The Kidman family were joined at the intimate service by close friends including Channel Nine star Richard Wilkins, 69, and his make-up artist girlfriend Mia Hawkswell, 47.

Australian TV presenter Peter Overton, his wife Jessica Rowe and their daughters Allegra and Giselle were also in attendance.

The Overton and Kidman-Urban clan have had a close relationship over the years and even rang in the New Year together at the famous family’s multi-million dollar North Sydney penthouse on January 1, 2023.

Peter also acted as pallbearer at Nicole’s father Antony’s funeral on September 19, 2014, which was held at the same church as Janelle’s service.

Antony died at the age of 75 in Singapore of a suspected heart attack, and the Kidmans said goodbye to him at a more public funeral, with many famous names, including Russell Crowe, paying their respects.

Janelle died in September at the age of 84 – just hours before Nicole won the best actress award for her role in Babygirl at the Venice Film Festival.
