Netflix fans are fiercely criticizing a star actor’s performance in a new romantic comedy after it hit the streaming platform last week.
Fans quickly took to social media to see how different one star looked in the film after it hit the site.
They were surprised by how much he seemed to age in his latest role. One user even exclaimed: ‘WTF! What happened to your face.’
Another user couldn’t believe it when he wrote: ‘Plastic surgery and aging… oh, but probably smoking. They can’t fool us.’
A third said: ‘I’m trying to watch #AFamilyAffair with #ZacEfron but I’m way too distracted by what he’s done to his beautiful face. Why would he do that to himself?’

Fans reacted to Zac Efron’s appearance in A Family Affair, which debuted on Netflix on June 28.
The film revolves around an unexpected romance that has hilarious consequences for a young woman, her mother and her boss.
Zac plays the role of egocentric Hollywood star Chris Cole, alongside Nicole Kidman, who plays the role of writer Brooke Harwood.
In 2022, Zac appeared on the cover of Men’s Health Magazine and explained what had happened to his face, after rumors of plastic surgery had been circulating for a year.
Zac revealed in his interview that he had a nasty accident at home which caused his face to undergo a huge transformation.
The star recalls putting on a pair of socks while running at home, causing him to hit his chin on a granite fountain.
Zac explained that when he was injured, the chewing muscles on the inside of his face and jaw “compensated” for the injury, causing them to grow in size, which was the reason for his remarkable transformation.
Others defended him, pointing to his previous surgery after a serious fall years ago.

‘Every month a tweet about Zac Efron’s face goes viral. And every time someone has to explain what happened to his jaw, that he had to have reconstructive surgery, etc., it’s exhausting.’
Zac says the change in size of his chewing muscles explains why he looked so different back then. “The chewing muscles just grew. They just got really, really big.”
The High School Musical star also claimed not to know he was a hot topic on social media and that his unusual jawline had gone viral until his mother called to ask if he’d gone under the knife.
“If I cared so much about what other people thought of me,” he told the magazine, “I absolutely couldn’t do this job.”
