Narre Warren South, Melbourne: Body of woman is found in water

The body of a woman has been found floating in the water near a walking track in Melbourne.

The body was discovered on Tuesday morning near The Esplanade in Narre Warren South, south-east of Melbourne.

Victoria Police have not yet officially identified the woman.

An investigation into the woman’s death is underway, but police are confident that no foul play has been committed.

“(The death) is not being treated as suspicious at this time,” a Victoria Police spokesperson said.
