Mick Jagger, 81, spends quality time with son Deveraux, 8, at Paris Olympic Games – a day after celebrating birthday

Sir Mick Jagger spent some quality time with his youngest son Deveraux in Paris this week, where he continued to celebrate his birthday.

The iconic singer, who turned 81 on Friday, looked in good spirits as he attended the Olympic Games and watched the screens at the Grand Palais.

He seemed engrossed in the martial art that involves sword fighting and stared intently at the match unfolding before him.

He was joined by his son Deveraux, 8, whom he shares with his girlfriend Melanie Hamrick, 37.

At one point, Mick was seen leaning towards the young man, presumably to comment on what was going on. Another shot showed him smiling broadly in his direction.

The Rolling Stones rocker opted for an understated outfit with a zip-up hoodie over a sweater and a spotted shirt, hiding his famous locks under a blue baseball cap.

Deveraux, meanwhile, looked handsome in a paisley-print shirt and blazer, and like his famous father, he wore long hair.

Sir Mick has eight children and is the father of Karis, 53 (by Marsha Hunt); Jade, 52 (by Bianca Jagger); Lizzie, 40, James, 38, Georgia May, 32, and Gabriel, 26 (by Jerry Hall); Lucas, 24 (by Luciana Gimenez Morad) and Deveraux.

This comes after the singer’s girlfriend Melanie shared a sweet congratulations message for his 81st birthday earlier this week.

The 37-year-old former ballet dancer posted a slew of gorgeous family snaps to celebrate the singer’s special day, which saw her posing alongside their eight-year-old son Deveraux.

“Congratulations sweetheart!! We love you ,” she captioned her latest Instagram post.

In one photo, the loved-up couple posed for a selfie in the mirror, both dressed in elegant outfits, while Mick gently placed a hand on Melanie’s waist.

She was the picture of class in a bejeweled black midi dress, while the rock legend wore a suit.

The Rolling Stones icon and the former ballerina first met in February 2014, when they were both on tour at a Stone concert.

They only became closer when the singer later invited Melanie to accompany him to the rock band’s performance in Zurich.

Although they never married, they have been happily dating for ten years and welcomed Deveraux in December 2016.

He wore a black suit with a floral motif and combined it with a white shirt that he wore open, without a tie.

Mick put his arm around Melanie, who was wearing a sleeveless black dress.

The event takes place after Mick and the rest of The Rolling Stones complete their Hackney Diamonds Tour in Missouri.

Hackney Diamonds were promoting their 2023 studio album Hackney Diamonds, their first studio album of original material in almost 20 years.

During their tour, The Rolling Stones were accused of “going woke” after dropping Brown Sugar from their setlist.

The song is controversial because of the way it portrays slavery as a prohibition against having a sexual relationship with a black woman.

Shortly after, the Rolling Stones also released lyrics about presidential assassinations in one of their most popular hits, following the attempt to assassinate second-term presidential candidate Donald Trump earlier this month.

But when he performed the song at the final three concerts of their Hackney Diamonds US tour, all of which took place after the July 13 shooting of Trump, the lyrics were noticeably missing.

Instead, Mick completely omitted the third verse of the infamous song, which he performed live in Los Angeles, Santa Clara, California, and Ridgedale, Missouri, and omitted the entire verse referring to the Kennedy assassination.

Instead of the third verse, Stones guitarists Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood play an instrumental break.

The original lyrics, written in 1968, asked the question ‘who killed John Kennedy?’, but Jagger multiplied the lyric after the assassination of JFK’s brother Robert F. Kennedy.
