Meghan looks gorgeous in green as Harry is gifted musical instrument during latest stop on their ‘quasi-royal’ Colombia tour

Meghan Markle glowed in green as Prince Harry accepted a gift on stage during the couple’s final stop on their “quasi-royal” tour of Colombia.

The 39-year-old Duke and 43-year-old Duchess of Sussex were welcomed upon their arrival on Thursday by the country’s Vice President Francia Marquez and her husband Rafael Yerney Pinillo.

After enjoying a sultry salsa dance together on Saturday, Harry and Meghan jumped onto the stage and thanked guests for their “warm welcome.”

Meghan’s effortless beauty was on full display in a strapless printed maxi dress as she spoke to the crowd in Spanish, while her husband, dressed in navy trousers and a blue shirt, graciously accepted a musical instrument.

In an Instagram post on the Festival Petronio Álvarez account, Meghan and Harry were said to be in “#Petrionio2024 mode” as the boisterous crowd cheered them on.

‘We are a reference for the world, a meeting point and a must-see for locals and tourists. Proud of the way our Pacifica culture falls in love!’

‘How do you view this visit of Dukes Harry and Meghan to #Petronio2024? What a joy that the world is watching us! #CaliEsDondeDebesEstar,’ Eder wrote.

On Saturday, the couple beamed as they visited the historic city of Cartagena and the traditional Afro-Caribbean village of San Basilio de Palenque.

There they were spotted engaged in a steamy salsa dance, embracing and touching each other as they gyrated on the dance floor.

Meghan, looking typically chic in a white linen skirt that she paired with Princess Diana’s £17,800 (approximately $23,000 USD) Gold Tank Française watch, grabbed Harry’s face with both hands and pulled him in for a kiss on the lips.

But the couple in love managed to keep their hands off each other long enough to dance with the neighbors.

The Duchess squeezed in with a Colombian man in a white T-shirt before being spun around by another woman and lowered into the middle of the room.

Meghan, who had thankfully traded in her heels for black sandals, laughed and smiled as she swayed to the music.

Prince Harry looked stylish in a breezy light blue linen shirt, which he paired with cream trousers and brown shoes.

Ahead of their arrival, some locals said they hoped Harry would use the visit to apologise for the role the British Crown played in the colonial slave trade.

The Duke of Sussex has previously spoken out about the “unjust” system in which “enslaved people” generated wealth for the Crown.

However, he has yet to apologize for the role his family plays in the oppressive system.

Harry and Meghan walked hand in hand across the village square, where stalls selling traditional handicrafts were set up, and they engaged in lively conversation with bystanders.

The village was founded almost 300 years ago by freed African slaves and is sometimes described as ‘a little corner of Africa’.

For Meghan, this stop was extra significant because when she visited Nigeria in May, she said she was “43 percent Nigerian.”

On the final day of their royal tour, Meghan spoke at the Afro Women and Power conference in Cali.

She proudly shared her favorite story about how, at age 11, she wrote a letter to Procter & Gamble asking them to change their sexist soap commercial.

The Duchess also paid tribute to her mother and raved about her three-year-old daughter Lilibet.

‘[I] encourage our daughter […] “She’s three and she’s found her voice. We’re so proud of her,” she said.

‘I find inspiration in so many strong women around me. My mother is one of them. Life is full of surprises and can be quite complex.’

Amid loud cheers, she said, “I would like to start in Spanish because my husband and I are in your country and I feel the embrace from Colombia.”

‘It’s incredible, thank you very much, because the culture, the history, everything was like a dream during this trip.

“I’m sorry if my Spanish is not perfect because I learned it 20 years ago in Argentina, but I do my best here because here I can feel the best community and the best feeling in the world.”

She added: “So thank you very much to the vice president, my friend, thank you very much.”

Meghan forgot to mention the Princess of Wales and the late Queen Elizabeth in her speech, despite having praised both royals in the past.
