Now we understand why the Democrats didn’t want Kamala Harris as their nominee.
After four weeks of campaigning, she finally agreed to an interview, to a very friendly CNN official. For reasons unknown, she brought her choice for Vice President, Tim Walz.
Moral support perhaps? A buddy to make up for her verbal shortcomings?
Either way, it wasn’t an attractive look for someone running for President of the United States.
As for her answers, Harris was vague, out of policy, and at times just plain nonsense.
Brat summer is officially over. Grab your pumpkin spice latte and enjoy a fraudulent fall.
In attempting to answer Dana Bash’s unimaginative first question — “What would you do on Day One in the White House?” — Kamala was the proverbial car engine struggling to start, delaying her actual answer with redundant, unnecessary words.
“Well, there are a couple of things,” she began. “First of all, one of my highest priorities is to do what we can to support and strengthen the middle class. Uh, when I look at the aspirations, the goals, the ambitions of the American people, I think that, uh, people are ready for a new way forward.”
Now we understand why the Democrats didn’t want Kamala Harris as their nominee.
A new way forward! As if she hasn’t been vice president for the past three and a half years!
Bash asked the question again: “So, what would you do on day one?”
Here we have Kamala’s so-called “opportunity economy,” which so far consists of a $6,000 child tax credit for the first year of life and a $25,000 down payment for first-time homebuyers. There are no specifics on who qualifies or how this largesse is funded.
Meanwhile, her plan to impose federal price controls on grocery stores — a proposal that even left-wing experts warn could lead to food shortages and economic ruin — has remained largely untouched.
When Bash asked if things would improve for Americans under a Trump presidency, we heard that rusty car engine sputter again.
“Well,” Harris said, “let’s start with the fact that when Joe Biden and I came into office, at the height of the pandemic … hundreds of people a day were dying … the economy had collapsed.”
She then claimed that Donald Trump had “mishandled” COVID.
Fan or not, the one thing Trump never gets credit for is Operation Warp Speed. His administration funded research and development that led to a vaccine within months.
But Kamala is completely confused. She claims she was taken completely by surprise when President Biden called her that fateful Sunday and told her he had decided to withdraw from the 2024 race.
Bash gave Kamala a chance to appear shocked, even as the Democratic plot to expel Biden from the party after the debate has now been widely reported.
“Honestly, I didn’t think about myself right away,” Harris said.
Really? Her first thought wasn’t that she would become the first female president, if only she could outsmart skeptics like Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi?
Harris showed up on the campaign trail beaming — floating with “joy,” if you want to call it that — and leapt over Biden’s still-warm body to clinch the nomination.
And what about the mental acuity of her boss, who immediately defended his performance after that disastrous debate? And called Biden “extraordinarily strong”?
Harris has no regrets, no regrets at all.
“He has the intelligence, the dedication, the judgment and the spirit that I believe the American people deserve in their president.”
If by “pose” she means Biden in a literal corpse pose at Rehoboth Beach, then yes.

Walz, sitting there uselessly like a phantom, repeated the lies he had already told.
If this otherwise pointless interview showed one thing, it was that Harris clearly saw Walz as a fellow traveler: a shameless liar and a cheat who dares to say anything.

Walz is a former teacher!
“I will never belittle the services of another,” he said, employing a classic manipulation tactic known as DARVO: denial, attack, and victim-perpetrator flip-flopping.
Finally, “I think people know who I am.”
I’m sorry — America just met you, Tim Walz. We have no idea who you are, but what we’re learning isn’t great.
Especially as the apparent lies Walz tells (he fought in the “war,” he and his wife used IVF, he received an award from the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce) become increasingly creepy.
Remember my words: More and bigger lies are likely to be exposed. If Walz had an “R” after his name like George Santos, the media would be all over this.
As Harris and Walz sat in this utterly depressing, unpresidential setting—an empty Savannah restaurant surrounded by cheap black furniture—the emptiness of the enterprise infuriated them. Bash simply let Harris slip and slide, without any details.
On Israel: “We need to make a deal,” Harris said, “because that will determine as much of what happens next as possible.”
Yes. That’s usually how things work: one action leads to another. Thank God we have Kamala to clarify this for us.
On illegal immigration: The numbers, she said, “have actually gone down.” Tell that to major American cities struggling to absorb the constant influx.
On rethinking her stance on fracking: ‘My values haven’t changed.’
If this otherwise pointless interview showed one thing, it was that Harris clearly saw Walz as a fellow traveler: a shameless liar and a cheat who dares to say anything.
Harris is unable to articulate her thought processes because they do not exist. She cannot speak spontaneously. She has no intellectual reservoir, no internal editor, no coherent reasoning.
Take, for example, this response to climate change: “I have always believed — and I have worked to believe — that the climate crisis is real, that it is an urgent issue that we need to apply metrics to that include holding ourselves to deadlines.”
Deadlines around time!
Perhaps she can explain how time works in relation to her ‘new path forward’ [to] turning the page on the last decade’ — that decade, as Bash helpfully noted, encompasses her last three and a half years in office.
“I’m talking about an era that started about 10 years ago,” Harris said.
This is the circular reasoning and definition of the intellectually inferior – of someone who is stupid yet tries to sound smart.
When asked why she should run for president, she replied, “I believe I am the most qualified person for this job.”
In an interview where Harris was unclear or downright evasive about almost everything, one fact stood out: she is quantitatively not the best person for this job.
