Matt LeBlanc made a rare public appearance in Los Angeles on Friday.

The 57-year-old Friends star, who once gave Lisa Kudrow some key advice on perfecting her iconic Phoebe character, appeared to be in good spirits while visiting a car showroom in Van Nuys, just outside the city.

Wearing a relaxed look in a black T-shirt and dark jeans, LeBlanc looked almost unrecognizable from his days as Joey Tribbiani on the beloved ’90s sitcom.

The TV icon completed his casual look with a pair of dark sneakers and kept it modest by adding a navy baseball cap.

It’s the first time LeBlanc has been seen since December, when he was last photographed following the death of his Friends co-star Matthew Perry in October.

Matt was one of the last members of the Friends cast, which included Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and David Schwimmer, to be seen in public after Perry’s death.

Perry was found unconscious in a hot tub at his Pacific Palisades home on Saturday, October 28. The Los Angeles County coroner later announced that he had died of a fatal ketamine overdose.

At the time of Perry’s death, LeBlanc, who played Perry’s character, Chandler Bing’s best friend, wrote on Instagram: “Matthew. It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye. The times we had together were honestly some of the favorite times of my life.

“It was an honor to share the stage with you and call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I will never forget you. Never.

“Spread your wings and fly bro, you’re finally free. Lots of love… And I guess you can keep the 20 bucks you owe me.”

LeBlanc shared a heartbreaking photo of the Friends cast embracing Perry during final filming in 2004 — a snapshot that was previously shared in 2021.

He also posted photos of Joey and Chandler hugging during the show.

In October, the five Friends stars released a joint official statement regarding the actor’s tragic passing.

“We are all so devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just castmates. We are a family,” they said. “There is so much to say, but right now we are going to take some time to grieve and process this unimaginable loss.”

The stars continued: “We will share more as time goes on, if and when we are able to,” the statement continued. “For now, our thoughts and love are with Matty’s family, his friends and all who loved him around the world.”

Last month, Matt received a heartfelt birthday greeting from Aniston, who playfully teased him about his favorite hobby: “doing nothing.”

“Happy Birthday @mattleblanc,” the star began her post, adding a white heart. “Hope you do as little nothing as possible today. I LOVE YOU.”
