Man on trial for threatening to kill presidential candidates found dead as jury was deciding verdict

CONCORD, N.H. — A New Hampshire man who stood trial last year for threatening the lives of presidential candidates was found dead as a jury determined his verdict, court documents show.

The jury began weighing the case against Tyler Anderson, 30, of Dover, on Tuesday after a trial that began Monday.

A message seeking comment from Anderson’s attorney was not immediately returned. A court filing stated that “the government has learned that the suspect has died.”

Anderson had been indicted by a federal grand jury in December on three counts of transmitting a threat through interstate commerce.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office did not name the candidates. When Anderson was arrested, he was a spokesperson for the Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy said the lyrics were aimed at his campaign.
