A man and a child have died in a horrific early morning crash on NSW’s Mid North Coast.
Emergency services rushed to The Buckets Way in Tugrabakh at around 3am after reports of a single vehicle crash.
Police say an SUV left the road and crashed into an embankment.
“The male driver of the vehicle, believed to be in his 40s, and a young girl, age unknown, died at the scene,” police said.
‘Two young boys, of unknown age, were trapped in the vehicle for some time before being freed with the assistance of NSW Fire and Rescue crews.

“They were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to John Hunter Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”
The victims of the crash have yet to be formally identified, police added, and investigators have recommended investigations into the circumstances of the crash.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
NSW has now recorded 269 road deaths for 2024.
