Madonna enjoyed a lunch date with her daughter Mercy James in New York City on Saturday.
The 65-year-old pop star looked effortlessly chic in an all-black ensemble during the rare outing with the 18-year-old skateboarding enthusiast.
She wore a stylish maxi dress with a matching cardigan, accessorised with dark, oversized sunglasses for an understated look.
Her teenage friend looked like a budding fashionista in an animal-print tank dress, showing off her own unique style.
The exit comes after Madonna, who is also the mother of Lourdes Leon,27, Rocco Ritchie23, David Banda, 18, and twins Stella and Estere, 11 — reflected on the first anniversary of her near-death experience on July 4.

In June 2023, the pop icon was rushed to the hospital after being found unconscious due to a severe bacterial infection. She was admitted to intensive care and required intubation.
She later said she had been placed in a medically induced coma while fighting for her life, suffering from complications including lung and kidney failure.
The star is now embracing her newfound health, posting a series of provocative photos on Instagram.
She wrote: ‘Happy 4th of July! One year ago today I had just come home from the hospital after surviving a life threatening illness. I could barely stand in my backyard with one sparkler in my hand.
“I have made a miraculous recovery and have had a wonderful year. Thank you God. Life is beautiful!”
The Celebration Tour was originally scheduled to kick off on July 15, 2023 in Vancouver, Canada, but was postponed by three months due to the health crisis.
The tour eventually kicked off with a four-night concert at London’s O2 Arena on October 14 and continued across Europe until early December.
The highlight was a spectacular free concert on May 4 on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, which attracted no fewer than 1.6 million fans.

It is now being hailed as the biggest single concert ever, as reported by the Economic Times.
After the tour ended, Madonna posted a message on social media praising her children, saying she was “so proud of them all” and talking about the lessons they learned during the concerts.
“I think what my kids have learned this year, through rehearsals and performing, is that if you want to pursue your dreams, you have to work hard,” she said.
“And if they all choose something different later in life, they will never forget this year of blood, sweat and tears. Neither will I.”
