Lisa Snowdon gets into the Euros spirit with a novelty custom England hat as she arrives for day two of Royal Ascot

Lisa Snowdon was in a patriotic mood as she arrived for day two of Royal Ascot in a novelty custom Euros hat.

The presenter, 52, showed her support for the England team ahead of Thursday night’s match against Denmark.

Commissioned by Ladbrokes, Lisa beamed as she modeled the huge headpiece featuring the red and white design of England, the Euros trophy and many footballers.

The Three Lions will be hoping for a win to progress to the knockout stages.

Milliner Ilda Di Vico was tasked with tackling the project, which took several weeks to complete.

Lisa complemented the eccentric hat with a red midi dress with a ruffled waist.

She completed the look with white heels and a red clutch.

Taking lots of selfies, Lisa said: ‘I really want to show my support for the Three Lions and by wearing this beautiful Ladbrokes hat designed by Ilda Di Vico I think I have done just that. Come on England!’

Nicola McGeady from Ladbrokes added: ‘Our Euros-themed hat combines the best of a day out at Royal Ascot and the beautiful game.

‘There is always a lot of competition when it comes to style, but with Ilda’s unique creation, Lisa has scored a winner.’

New hats or fascinators that are excessively large or that promote or market a product or brand are not permitted in the Royal Enclosure.

Ascot is popular with many members of the Royal Family, with the late Queen Elizabeth II particularly fond of the race. So much so that after her death, some thought The Firm’s connection to it might end.

But King Charles continued to attend the event and was pictured there on Tuesday.

Among the other royal attendees were Princess Anne and her daughter Zara Tindall, 43, who are both famous for their love of horses, as well as Zara’s husband Mike Tindall and her brother Peter Phillips.

Queen Camilla accompanied the king, while the royal couple arrived together in a carriage. Princess Eugenie was also caught at the event.

Poignantly, Lady Gabriella attended Ascot today, making it her first official public appearance since her husband’s death.

Her late husband, Thomas Kingston, died by suicide on February 25, aged 45, at his parents’ home in the Cotswolds.

Lady Gabriella, the daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, arrived at the event in a carriage she shared with Princess Anne and Peter Phillips.

She was comforted by a number of royals, including Zara Tindall, who was mauled as she hugged the grieving Gabriella.
