The online platform’s Instagram post featured a photo of Dufrene, who gives airboat tours in Louisiana, and Del Rey posing together in front of a swamp.
The caption stated that her new boyfriend is rumored to be an alligator guide and that he “recently separated from his wife.”
The report also reported that someone claiming to be Dufrene’s daughter recently shared on X, formerly Twitter, that she learned about her father’s romance with the singer through social media.
But Del Rey denied those rumors in a follow-up comment on the same post.
“And that’s not his daughter on Twitter,” the 11-time Grammy nominee, born Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, declared.
It’s unknown how long the two have known each other, but it appears they’ve been friends for a while, as Del Rey shared a photo with him during one of his swamp trips in March 2019.
