Kylian Mbappe celebrated for Vertonghen after the Belgian defender scored an own goal against France.
Didier Deschamps’ men secured a place in the quarter-finals of Euro 2024 with a 1-0 victory over the Red Devils.
Vertonghen was the unlucky player, as he found his own goal with five minutes left on the clock.
And Mbappe rubbed salt in the former Tottenham defender’s wounds by running straight towards him and shouting words in the Belgian’s direction.
The former PSG star was then given a stern warning by the referee and immediately protested.
The incident occurred minutes after Vertonghen accused Mbappé of diving and they got into an argument in the 71st minute.
