Kim Kardashian has revealed that one of her and ex-husband Kanye West’s sons has a rare skin condition.
The 43-year-old mother of four – who has children North (11), Saint (8), Chicago (6) and Psalm (5) with West, 47 – revealed that one of her boys has the skin condition vitiligo.
“It came from my mother, went to me, and I passed it on in a different form to my son, who has a very mild form of vitiligo,” the Kardashians star said on Monday’s episode of the She MD podcast.
Vitiligo is a chronic autoimmune disease that causes patches of skin to lose pigment, or color. This happens when melanocytes—skin cells that produce pigment—are attacked and destroyed, leaving the skin a milky white color, according to the National Institute of Health.

The tycoon, who suffers from psoriasis, did not specify which of her children has the condition, but she did say the condition is “under control.”
‘I didn’t know anything about it, but I had to learn more about it and find out where it came from and that it’s hereditary, and just learn more and be able to share that [has been a blessing]’ she told presenters Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi and influencer Mary Alice Haney.
The candid TV personality also revealed that her children had “a bit of eczema.”
Kardashian has suffered from psoriasis since she was 30 and is the only one of mother Kris Jenner’s six children to have inherited the condition.
“I do everything,” she said of treating the nasty flare-ups. “I’ve tried special herbs, the holistic way, a six-week celery juice diet, every topical cream, every soap from natural to artificial.”
An old episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians even featured the billionaire using her sister Kourtney Kardashian’s breast milk to soothe her blotchy, itchy skin.
As recently as January, Kim described a “painful” breakout on her leg.
“I’m not going to lie — this is painful. I don’t know what my triggers are. I haven’t changed my diet. I’ve tried everything! Psoriasis sucks,” she shared in an Instagram Story at the time.

Kim and West married in 2014, and West filed for divorce in February 2021. The divorce was finalized in November 2022.
In the latest episode of the Hulu series The Kardashians, which follows her family on Hulu, Kim revealed that she’s finally implemented stricter rules for their four children.
“This is my most important job. I can’t let anyone run me over,” she confirmed to her younger sister Khloe Kardashian, 40.
That happened after the multi-hyphenate visited a therapist who advised her to “spend less screen time.”
“I just changed a lot of little things in my house. I’m basically turning into Kourtney and Khloe,” she later said in a confessional interview, comparing herself to her siblings.
