Kim Kardashian paid tribute to formerly incarcerated singer David Jassy via Instagram on Saturday.
The 43-year-old billionaire reposted a video clip of the artist, who performs under the stage name Dawda, via the app’s Stories feature.
The bombshell, who has been attending law school in recent years, captioned the post: “David Jassy also spent 15 years in San Quentin Prison, where I met him and spent time with him learning more about his music show and the Ear Hustle podcast.”
She added that she’s “proud he’s home and making music,” and in a second post she congratulated him on her amazing song Get Your Number.
This comes as the money magnate continues to push for prison and criminal justice reforms.

In June, the SKIMS founder gave her fans an update on her law studies via social media.
She shared a photo on her Instagram story showing her going through her study material.
Kim admitted that she learned about exceptions from hearsay. She admitted that it is her “least favorite subject.”
“I can’t deal with all these f****** exceptions based on hearsay!” she wrote. “My least favorite class in law school!”
The term refers to a situation where an out-of-court statement is made in court, which in most cases is inadmissible unless an exception applies.
Kim began studying law in 2019, following in the footsteps of her father, the late Robert Kardashian.
The mother of four passed California’s baby bar exam in 2021 after three previous attempts. She plans to take the bar exam in 2025.
The Hulu star successfully campaigned for the release of Alice Marie Johnson, who was the first person to receive a life sentence for a non-violent offense.

Kim recently visited Vice President Kamala Harris at the White House in April to discuss criminal pardons.
It was her first visit to Capitol Hill during the Biden administration, after initially working with former President Donald Trump on criminal justice reforms.
Biden subsequently pardoned 16 people convicted of nonviolent drug offenses as part of “Second Chance Month.”
