Kevin Costner has revealed what he looks for in a woman after denying rumors he was dating Jewel.
The 69-year-old movie star finalized his divorce from his second wife Christine Baumgartner in February after a bitter legal battle.
However, he recently stated that he “will not let anything harden my heart” and remains open to finding love again.
Now he has finally revealed what kind of relationship he wants to have, and the type of person he hopes to have it with.
The star – who has seven children – shared that he hopes to find a “person who wants to be loved, and he wants to be loved, you know…feel like he’s at his best.” And that love helps and does not hinder it,” according to an interview with Fox news.

Costner, who was married to his first wife Cindy Silva for sixteen years and to Baumgartner for eighteen years, noted, “I had two unique relationships.”
Last week he shot down rumors The Howard Stern Showthat he dated Jewel.
Kevin insisted they were “friends” who had “never dated.”
Costner and Jewel sparked speculation about the nature of their relationship when they spent this past Thanksgiving together.
They then added fuel to suspicions when they were spotted at a charity event in the British Virgin Islands late last year.
As for falling in love again, he said he’s[loves] the idea of that possibility’ in being People cover story published last week.
When asked how he went about life after his ex filed for divorce in May 2023 after almost twenty years of marriage, he replied: “You just do it.”
‘You just keep talking, you keep coaching [the kids], you remain interested in what they are interested in,” he continued. ‘I had to.’
The father of seven – who shares sons Cayden, 17, Hayes, 15, and 14-year-old daughter Grace with Baumgartner – also added that he is hopeful of finding love again.

“Yes, I think everyone would like to be in love,” said the three-time Golden Globe winner – who also has four adult children: Annie, 40, Lily, 37, Joe, 36, and Liam, 27.
“There’s such a good feeling that comes with it,” he continued.
“Maybe it should be defined in a different way,” he added. “But yeah, I like the idea of that possibility.”
In the meantime, he’s channeled his passion into Horizon: An American Saga, the debut feature in his upcoming four-part Western epic.
Horizon: An American Saga is a film directed and produced by himself from a screenplay he co-wrote. The film will be in theaters from June 28.
He provided $38 million of his own money and property mortgages to help finance the film, but he shared his excitement about his life.
“I’ve had an incredibly unusual – and for the most part beautiful – life,” Costner said.
“I’ve taken some really big bites out of life, and life has taken some really big bites out of me, and I’ve never let it harden me and I’m not going to,” he added.
He also said his top priority remains his children.
“It’s really about the children,” says the actor and filmmaker. ‘I still teach my children. And besides, I’m still learning.”
In his cover story, he emphasized that they are not dating amid rampant romance rumors.
“No, Jewel and I are friends,” he told People. “We’ve never dated.”
Costner also added, “She’s special, and I don’t want – I don’t want these rumors to ruin our friendship, because that’s what we have. She is special to me. She’s pretty enough to go out with.’

He then explained how the rumors started when he visited Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island for a charity event involving Jewel.
Recalling how he became friends with Jewel, Costner recalled, “Richard Branson had been asking me to come to Necker Island for years, and I finally did.
‘I suddenly got divorced. I’m a single father, and he asks me to come for ten years. I said, ‘Well, I guess I’m going down.’”
Of his friendship with Jewel, he added: “She was someone I just had great conversations with, and with Emma [Watson].
‘I was up [the plane] with nine people and I don’t want the press to ruin this for us because I’ve had conversations with her, texting-wise and she’s so smart, and she’s been through a lot herself, and so we have a friendship.
“We don’t have a romance, and we haven’t dated,” he added. “She’s beautiful and smart enough for all those things.”
Costner has been going through a bitter divorce battle with Baumgartner since their split in May 2023, while Jewel was previously married to rodeo champion Ty Murray.
