Kamala Harris made a notable cameo in the season finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, where she urged viewers to make their voices heard at the ballot box.
Making history as the first-ever sitting United States vice president to appear on the hit reality series Paramount+, the 59-year-old politician reminded Americans of the big issues at stake in the 2024 election.
“Hi everyone, I’m Kamala Harris. Every day we see our rights and freedoms under attack, including everyone’s right to be who they are, to love who they love — openly and proudly,” she said.
Harris continued: “So, as we fight back against these attacks, let’s all remember that no one is alone. We’re all in this together, and your vote is your power. So make sure your voice is heard this November and register to vote at vote.gov.”
During the episode, which was filmed before Harris launched her own presidential campaign after President Joe Biden dropped his re-election bid, she spoke with judge Michelle Visage, choreographer Jamal Sims and former guest judges Lance Bass, Leslie Jones and Cheyenne Jackson.

After the former prosecutor’s impassioned message, Jackson asked, “Can I get an amen?!”
The clip ends with Jones turning to the camera and saying, “You should definitely vote!”
Social media users were quick to react to her appearance, which some described as ’embarrassing AF’ [as f**k] while others praised her for “speaking to young people.”
“I just know this is going to piss a lot of people off… and I’m all for it,” one person mused.
Another wrote that they “lived for the Kamala promotion.”
“KAMALA IS FOR THE GIRLS AND GAYS,” declared a third.
Others criticized her for participating in a reality show.
“Politicians shouldn’t use reality shows to make serious statements. It’s trivializing,” wrote one X user.
The RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars finale, featuring Harris, airs on Friday, July 26.

In her first campaign ad, which played to Beyoncé’s hit Freedom, Harris showed her support for LGBTQ+ people by featuring footage of herself in a crowd waving Pride flags.
“In this election, we all face one question: What kind of country do we want to live in?” she asked in the ad. “There are people who think we should be a country of chaos, fear and hate. But we, we choose something different.”
Later in the video, Harris advocates for a future where “no one is above the law.”
At that point, a photo was shown of Trump’s arrest warrant in Georgia for his election interference case, as well as headlines from when Trump was indicted in New York and found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying corporate records.
She went on to emphasize that Americans deserve the freedom to “not just survive, but thrive” and that they deserve the safety to be “safe from gun violence” and to make their own decisions about their bodies.

She also called for a future “where no child lives in poverty” and “where we can all afford health care.”
Harris concluded the video by saying, “We believe in the promise of America, and we’re prepared to fight for it. Because when we fight, we win.”
While the campaign’s first video was released on social media, it has yet to place any political ad buys on television featuring the vice president. The campaign is, however, advertising digitally.
The same day Biden withdrew from the race, the party began running digital ads promoting the president’s endorsement of Harris and encouraging supporters to fundraise for her presidential bid.

In just over 24 hours, the Harris campaign raised more than $100 million from more than 1.1 million donors.
Last year, Harris criticized the record number of anti-LGBTQ bills being introduced in state legislatures across the United States.
At a Pride event co-hosted by LGBTQ advocacy group GLAAD in 2023, she criticized “so-called leaders” and “extremists” who tried to stage an “abrupt, backwards march.”
“We don’t have it. Not in our care,” she said.
Some of the laws passed include an “anti-drag measure in Tennessee and a law in Arkansas that banned transition-related care for minors in the state,” according to NBC News.
