Justin Long made a very private confession about a disastrous case of food poisoning involving his wife Kate Bosworth.
The 46-year-old actor revealed he once soiled the bed he shared with Kate after falling ill during a trip to Mexico City.
Recalling the incident in the podcast, PIE starring Kurt Sutter and Katey SagalJustin detailed how Kate, 41, helped him after tragedy struck.
“I was on an IV and she had to follow me to the bathroom with that thing,” said the actor, who was recently spotted with Kate in New York.
“It was like Dumb and Dumber. I was just, really comically, unloading, and then at some point that night I woke up, and there’s no other way to say it, I can’t dance around it, I had shit the bed. I had shit the bed and she was in the bed.”

Luckily, Kate was incredibly sympathetic and reminded Justin how “lucky” he was to have her.
“She was about two feet away from me with this IV bag,” he said. “And she was holding him so patiently, and she was like, ‘Everything’s OK.’ And I was thinking how much I loved her. I was like, ‘I just love this person, I’m so grateful for this person.’”
“She didn’t judge me, she didn’t make me feel weird or bad, and I just felt really happy, you know?”
Interestingly enough, Justin even found it a ‘romantic’ moment.
‘I was sitting there taking a shit, and she looked at me lovingly, and I thought, “This is really romantic.”‘
“She convinced me to take a shower after I had been shitting in bed all night,” he continued. “And I did. You know, where all you really want to do is lay in bed? But I took a shower, I washed up, and then she called the doctor and she saw me.
“I can count on one hand the number of times she had a judgmental approach to something I did. But I saw her watching me crawl into bed, back into bed, into the same bed, on my side. I avoided the area, but I still crawled back into my filth.
“And she looked at me and she said, ‘What are you doing?’ and I said, ‘I’m just going back to bed.’ And she said, ‘Don’t do that. Get on my side,’” he added.

Bosworth and Long first met while filming a movie in 2021, but didn’t go public with their romance until January 2022.
That spring, he admitted he wanted to talk about their relationship but also wanted to protect their privacy during an appearance on the Viall Files podcast.
“I want to shout it from the rooftops, but I also want to be protective. It’s sacred,” he explained.
They announced their engagement last April and the following month Long began calling Bosworth his “wife.”
During an episode of his Podcast Life Is ShortThe He’s Just Not That Into You actor talked about filming his project Barbarian in Bulgaria and how Kate flew out to visit him on set.

“I was there when I really fell in love with my now wife,” he told his guest, fellow actress Kate Sedgwick. “She came to visit and I had never felt comfortable with … visiting sets.”
“I like to separate the relationship… But yeah, I loved having her there and we just had the most magical time. It helped me having her there. She helped me with scenes. It was the best,” he explained.
A source informed Page Six Later in May 2023, the couple married at the Rockaway Hotel in Queens, New York.
“It was a very low-key ceremony. People thought it was some sort of engagement photo shoot — not a real wedding,” the insider explained to the outlet.
The couple previously stayed at the hotel when Kate collaborated with surf brand Roxy for a photoshoot.

A separate source has also been opened People about the “impromptu” weddings, explaining, “After they got engaged, Kate couldn’t wait to marry Justin. She knew she didn’t want a big wedding. She just wanted to be married.”
