The recovery time for a Grade 2 strain is three to six weeks, but Julie is expected to return to the series in the third episode.

A calf muscle tear occurs when the calf is suddenly overloaded. This can happen due to quick twisting movements, jumping or abruptly stopping during sports.

The injury occurred after an intensive two-month training schedule, during which Julie went to the gym five times a week and swam three to four times a week.

The moment Julie survives the painful tension was shown during the premiere of Dancing With The Stars, with the chef appearing in studio to discuss the mishap.

The footage showed Julie screaming in pain as her leg gave way while dancing, before being shown receiving the devastating news in hospital.
