Jock Zonfrillo’s widow Lauren shares series of heartwarming snaps with their two beloved children and pays subtle tribute to her late husband

Jock Zonfrillo’s widow Lauren has shared some adorable photos with their two children.

The media panelist gave a glimpse into her family life with her and Jock’s children – their son Alfie and daughter Isla – on Instagram on Saturday.

The family is dealing with their grief after beloved chef Jock was tragically found dead at a hotel in Carlton, near Melbourne’s CBD, on April 30, 2023.

Lauren gave her fans a heartwarming update by posting a gallery of snaps featuring her beloved children and paying tribute to Jock in a caption.

She was a real mother through and through, she had a big smile on her face as she snuggled up to Alfie and Isla during a dinner on what seemed like a holiday.

Lauren looked stunning in a strapless black patterned dress as she posed for cute family selfies.

She completed her stylish look with a tanned makeup palette and an array of gold jewelry as she enjoyed quality time with her two children.

In a subtle tribute to her late husband Jock, she wrote in the caption: ‘What can I say, we make adorable children.’

In addition to Lauren and their two children, Jock is also survived by his two adult daughters, Ava and Sophia, from his first two marriages.

Lauren recently shared insight into how she and her family were coping with their grief in a moving post she shared to mark the first anniversary of Jock’s tragic death.

In an emotional video she posted in April, she said: “I’ve been focusing on the kids and they’re doing really well, they’re actually thriving and have found their new normal. I think we’ve created two extraordinary little people there.”

She also explained that she would use the MasterChef Australia judge’s Instagram account to post old videos sharing his legacy with fans.

“Next week will be one year since we lost Jock. I have no idea where the time has gone,” she shared.

‘I really had plans to release more of his projects, but somewhere between trying to find my feet as a single parent and going through long periods where I found it really hard to look at videos and photos of Jock, the plan didn’t go as planned.

‘Jock’s legacy is in his children and his work, both of which have given me a lot of meaning over the past year.

She added: ‘I’ve collected hundreds and hundreds of hours of stories of Jock cooking his favourite recipes, explaining what vinegar or oil he uses for different things, things he’s discovered on our travels, fun behind-the-scenes stuff and interviews. It’s a part of my life that I want to share with everyone again.

‘I’ll be posting again as soon as I can. Please try to treat them as normal, if you have any questions about the recipe or method, just ask, put them in the comments, and if I can’t answer them, I’ll make sure one of his chef buddies does.

“The purpose of posting is for us to enjoy it, for us to enjoy Jock, and I hope you do too.”

Jock passed away just one day before the 2023 season of MasterChef was set to premiere, with the show being delayed by a week “out of respect.”

Network 10 dedicated the fifteenth season to Jock and his family, airing his scenes posthumously and acknowledging his “sudden and tragic passing”.
