Jake Quickenden has left Celebrity MasterChef.
The 36-year-old reality star is the latest contestant to be sent home from the BBC show after failing to impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace.
After his early departure was announced, Jake said, “It’s disappointing that I’m leaving because I’ve really enjoyed myself for most of it.”
The former X Factor contestant found the show a lot more challenging than he initially thought.
Jake still loved the experience, though, and appreciated the chance to test his cooking skills.

He said: ‘It was a lot more challenging than I ever imagined, but I got to cook in a restaurant.
“I saw some Vikings. I laughed a lot, so I’m very happy.”
Jake previously admitted that he has been a fan of MasterChef for a long time.
The TV star also revealed that he was looking forward to the challenge of competing on the show.
He said: ‘I really wanted a new challenge. Cooking wasn’t something that came naturally to me and my skills were quite basic. So for me it was important to set myself a new challenge and learn from the show at the same time.
“I’ve always loved watching ‘MasterChef’ so I really wanted to do it myself.”
Despite this, Jake admitted that he relies on his air fryer at home.

When asked what his friends and family thought of his cooking, Jake replied, “My wife Sophie is a better cook, let me put it that way!”
‘I usually use an air fryer and often prepare meals that I already know, so I’m not that adventurous!’
‘I love a tenderloin when I eat out, but I’m not very good at making it! At home I like to make a burger or homemade pizzas, kind of like a fakeaway!’
“I love that the show takes you out of your comfort zone and makes you cook things you wouldn’t normally make!”
