Jada Pinkett Smith made her Instagram account private on Monday after posting a quote that had people speculating.
The 52-year-old actress, who has 11 million followers on the social media platform, posted a photo of a text box with a detailed message.
It said, “A man can CHOOSE to belong to someone. And if he does… he is considered noble. A woman is told she MUST belong or… she is not worthy.”
The Baltimore-born star captioned the message: “Even in some of our great religious traditions, the goddess is powerless without her male counterpart.
‘And in others the spiritual influence of the feminine, of the Mother … is not even recognized.’

The Red Table Talk host continued: “We, mere mortal women, are worth it, just because we exist!
‘And those of us who have developed our Kingdom within our inner kingdom and have a deep relationship with the Great Most High.
Pinkett Smith said that ‘if we CHOOSE to connect with someone from this space…we will create monumental love and give birth to treasures.’
She concluded with the words: according to People“We don’t have to bind ourselves in fear. You…are…greatness. Walk with it this Monday.”
Pinkett Smith posted a series of photos on the site on Sunday recapping her experiences from the past summer and bidding farewell to the season.
“Summer is coming to an end and my heart is blooming in so many ways,” Pinkett Smith said in the caption of the post, according to People. “I can’t wait to share. Until then… I’m just embracing the last of the summer vibes.”
According to the site, one of the frames in the carousel was “a video of her on a jet ski with an unknown man.” Commenters speculated about the person in question, with some referring to her estranged husband Will Smith, 55.
The couple have been married since New Year’s Eve 1997 and have a son Jaden (26) and a daughter Willow (23). The Oscar winner is also the father of a son Trey (31) with his ex-wife Sheree Zampino (56).

Smith, who said last year that she and Will have been broken up since 2016, told the outlet that she and the Men In Black actor are “still trying to figure it out” and that they’ve been “doing some really heavy work together.”
She added: ‘We love each other very much and we’re going to figure out what that looks like for us.
“My children, they are little gurus. They have taught me a deep sense of self-acceptance.”
