Inside the tiny Northeastern state where five of America’s hottest housing markets are hiding

One small state in the northeastern US has five of the hottest housing markets this summer.

While mortgage rates are still high, at 6.89 percent for a 30-year rate, some housing markets are still very hot and buyers are ready to pounce.

The most sought-after location in June was Hartford, Connecticut, according to Realtor.com Analysis.

Hartford, just a two-hour drive from New York City, received 4.4 times more views per home last month than the national average.

Connecticut also had four other metro areas in the top 20, making it the most sought-after state for real estate today.

The average home price in Hartford is $450,000, making it much more affordable than New York City, attracting commuters and families looking for more space on the leafy streets.

Known as the insurance capital of the country, the city offers numerous cultural attractions, including Mark Twain’s former home, the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center and the State Capitol building.

According to data from Realtor.com, it takes an average of just 17 days for a home to sell in the region.

Best known as the home of the world-famous Ivy League College Yale, New Haven was ranked the 9th most desirable real estate location in the US.

The area also has excellent public schools and large green spaces, ideal for young families.

The Worcester area, which falls partly in Massachusetts, was ranked the 12th most desirable housing market last month.

The towns and cities in the Connecticut region include leafy Woodstock, Plainfield, Eastford, and Brooklyn.

The average price for a home in the area is $550,000.

In thirteenth place are the Connecticut cities of Bridgeport, Stamford and Norwalk.

Bridgeport is the most populous city in the state, with about 150,000 residents. The port city, just 60 miles from Manhattan, is popular with commuters

Stamford is known as a business center and is home to no fewer than five Fortune 500 companies.

The city of Norwalk, just off the coast, is beloved by locals for its Maritime Aquarium, quaint shops and restaurants, and well-preserved Gilded Age mansions.

The area is expensive, with the average asking price at $960,000.

Norwich and New London are ranked fifth among the most popular real estate markets in Connecticut. Last month, the market was ranked the 19th most desirable market in the U.S.

New London has a diverse community of approximately 27,000 residents and offers a rich arts and music scene, as well as excellent restaurants and accessible outdoor spaces at nearby Ocean Beach.
