Violet Affleck has been passionate about reinstating mandatory face masks and opposing the impending divorce of her father Ben Affleck and his estranged wife Jennifer Lopez.
The 18-year-old was spotted last weekend wearing a Dolce & Gabbana dress that her famous stepmother, 55, wore during a Valentine’s Day date with Ben, 51, last year, just months before their short-lived marriage ended.
Violet, whose mother is Jennifer Garner, reportedly wore the dress as a statement to show how close she is to Lopez, after she said goodbye to her father and the On the Floor singer with a “heartbroken heart” earlier this year.
“Violet wanted her father Ben to stay with JLo,” the source said. “She didn’t live in their home and didn’t see the extent of the rift, but she’s become extremely close to JLo over the past few years and it broke her heart when they split.
‘She won’t stop talking to JLo and we recently enjoyed time with her in the Hamptons.

“Wearing her soon-to-be ex-stepmother’s Valentine’s Day dress was a statement – she knew what she was doing. The people close to her thought it was bizarre.”
Violet has maintained a relationship with Lopez despite her father’s estrangement from the singer, with the teen accompanying her to the Hamptons last month.
On Sunday, she wore Lopez’s two-tone Dolce & Gabbana wrap dress during a lunch outing with her 16-year-old twins Max and Emme in Los Angeles.
The source continued, “Ben is neither bothered nor unbothered by Violet’s proximity to JLo, as Violet is an adult and can have relationships with whomever she wants. Unfortunately for her, wearing JLo’s dress in public will have no effect whatsoever on Ben’s divorce.”
Another insider added that Violet is “strongly committed to their return to each other,” adding, “Violet is a total daddy’s girl and a family-first person and is best friends with JLo’s kids. She considers them her sister and brother.
‘Ben is so wonderful to Max and Emmie and is a fantastic father and father figure, so it’s no wonder they would love it if their parents could find a way to be together.
“This current hiccup is sad and despite it seeming like it won’t heal, Violet is in favor of them getting back together. Wearing JLo’s dress was on purpose.”
The couple, who rekindled their romance in 2021 before tying the knot in July 2022, have five children from previous relationships.
“Violet is in favor of them getting back together,” a source told DailyMail.com. “Wearing JLo’s dress was intentional.”
The Jenny from the Block singer shares Emme and Maximilian Muñiz, 16, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Affleck welcomed Violet, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12, during his 10-year marriage to Garner.
Their children played a central role in their lavish wedding at Affleck’s Georgia estate, where they walked down the aisle with Lopez.
The step-siblings then flew to Paris to join the newlyweds on their honeymoon, and the photos show them enjoying a boat trip on the Seine.
Earlier this summer, reports of marital troubles rose when it was revealed that Affleck had moved out of their $60 million mansion into a $100,000-a-month rental property, before recently purchasing a $20.5 million bachelor pad.
They haven’t been photographed together since June. DailyMail.com previously reported that divorce papers are ready.

The couple reportedly spent time together on Sunday after Lopez dropped Samuel off at Affleck’s rental home following a day of shopping at the Century City Mall.
It came hours after she appeared to send a secret message to her husband when she shared a post on Instagram with a remix of her 1999 song If You Had My Love.
In the song, she warns a man that she will not tolerate him cheating on her.
She had previously asked Garner for support and advice because she feared Affleck was about to quit drinking.
