How Prince George is always twinning with his father Prince William after delighting fans with their matching looks at the Euros

Prince George was the spitting image of his father as he put on a lively show at last night’s European Championship final.

The young royal, who attended the thrilling match with the 42-year-old Prince of Wales, witnessed Spain’s 2-1 victory in Berlin with his father.

Both held their hands in front of their faces at the same time and were depicted shuddering as they watched England’s defeat.

Elsewhere, the duo were even spotted straightening their ties at the same time, while both wearing the same outfit.

And it’s not the first time the pair have been spotted following each other around. The 10-year-old boy has apparently been consulting William for advice on social cues for years.

Photos show father and son making matching facial expressions or gestures during an event.

In one instance, just a month ago, George looked the spitting image of his father as they both looked up curiously to enjoy the flypast at Trooping of the Colour.

They joined the Princess of Wales, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, in taking action from the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

Last year, the father-son duo enjoyed the Ashes and sipped their drinks in sync.

The royal football fans looked stylish in matching navy suits, white shirts and striped ties as they watched the match between the two rivals.

Despite England’s loss, William and George’s twin brother provided cheer to the dispirited nation, as the young monarch wore an almost identical outfit to the Prince of Wales.

It’s not the first time George has modeled his wardrobe after his father. The ten-year-old has looked like his father since he was a little boy.

Yesterday, the 10-year-old wore his hair pulled to one side and wore a crisp white shirt with a navy blazer, trousers and a striped tie.

In 2015, the shy Prince George arrived at Princess Charlotte’s christening in an outfit almost identical to the one Prince William wore when he first met his newborn brother, Prince Harry, over 30 years earlier.

George almost stole the show at his sister’s christening, looking gorgeous in a white shirt and red shorts.

Although the Prince of Wales’s white shirt had slightly more embroidery, George’s outfit, designed by Rachel Riley, was identical to William’s in all other respects.

Even later in life, the young royal continued to use his father’s fashion style for his outfits.

When Prince George stepped off the plane in Warsaw hand-in-hand with Prince William in 2017, his style looked strikingly similar to that of his father when he was a child.

The little prince, who stayed close to his father as he descended the plane steps at Warsaw Chopin Airport in July of that year, wore his trademark navy shorts, paired with a checked shirt.

The look was similar to the outfit his father wore when he stepped off a private jet at Aberdeen Airport for a family summer holiday in 1984. The Duke of Cambridge was the same age as George, who was now.

In June 2022, Prince George looked his father’s equal in a sleek navy suit and matching brown shoes as he attended his first official engagement in Cardiff with his parents.

When George was eight years old, he met performers and crew involved in a special Platinum Jubilee Celebration Concert taking place on the castle grounds.

Prince George was certainly dressed for the occasion, wearing the exact same outfit as his father, Prince William.

And last year, rRoyal fans were quick to notice the resemblance between Prince George and his father when a brand new photo was shared in honor of his 10th birthday.

As is tradition, the photo was shared by the Prince and Princess of Wales on July 22. Their eldest child looked more grown up than ever before.

George wore a checked shirt – presumably part of his school uniform – paired with chinos and brown suede lace-up brogues, which William also likes to wear for a smart/casual look.

George continued his father’s tradition of fashion inspiration in May, during the FA Cup final.

The royal football fans looked stylish in matching navy suits, white shirts and striped ties as they watched the dramatic match at a packed Wembley Stadium.

Father and son enjoyed the match, along with tens of thousands of fans from the Royal Box, and 10-year-old George looked full of enthusiasm as he experienced the highs and lows of the cup final.

Chatting in the front row of the box, the father and son duo laughed together as the game began. George shared a sweet moment with his dad as he brushed back his styled hair and whispered in William’s ear

Before kick-off, the Prince of Wales walked onto the pitch to cheers from the crowd where the two teams were lined up.

Prince George was seen standing in the stands and cheering as he celebrated the scores amid jubilant fans.

Sitting next to them in the penalty area were Manchester United managers Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Avram Glazer, cheering wildly, along with legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

The 41-year-old’s attendance at the big match in north-west London in front of 90,000 fans was confirmed by the Palace at 9.30am that day.

Prince George looked the spitting image of his father during the European Championship final in Berlin on Sunday evening.

Not only did George’s appearance strongly resemble that of his 42-year-old father, but so did his clothes.

The young royal entered the stands of the Olympiastadion in Berlin dressed in a navy suit, a crisp white shirt and a striped tie, an outfit that almost resembled his father’s.

Just before the national anthem began, the royal father and son were seated in the stands. Prince George straightened his tie, just before William did the same.

Prince George and Prince William experienced a range of emotions as they watched England play Spain.

After Spain scored their first goal of the match, Prince George looked visibly disappointed as he sat down next to his father.

William and George jumped from their seats and cheered with Keir Starmer when Cole Palmer scored for England.

After the celebration, Prince William hugged Prince George, who appeared overwhelmed with joy.

However, William and George’s joy was short-lived as Spain scored again just minutes later to secure victory at Euro 2024.

The father and son looked visibly sad as they stared out into the field with their heads in their hands.

Just seconds after the final whistle, he posted a message on the official Kensington Palace account, offering his condolences to the team after they narrowly missed out on victory.

William wrote: ‘This time it just wasn’t meant to be. We are all still so proud of you. Continue @England. W.’
