Heather Locklear announced the death of her father Bill at the age of 94 in a heartbreaking post on Wednesday.
The former Melrose Place actress, 62, who returns for the reboot of the iconic show, shared a poignant photo of her beloved father who she called “the love of my life.”
She wrote: ‘The bar is oh so high. The love of my life. The few who are proud. I love you, daddy. REST IN PEACE.’
A source said People Bill had been ‘ill for some time’ and was admitted to hospital in February – adding: ‘It was obviously a very stressful time for the family.’
The star received condolences from her famous friends, with Tommy Lee writing: ‘I’m going to miss that man and his beautiful spirit! I’m sorry for the loss of you and your family, Heather.”

Dawson’s Creek star Mary-Margaret Humes wrote: ‘I remember meeting him when I was with you many years ago… he was so handsome and kind… and sent love to you and your family today. Godspeed dear daddy.”
Heather was close to her father and shared a sweet video of her father in July 2019 to celebrate his 90th birthday.
She wrote: ‘Happy 90th birthday to my hero.’
In the clip, Bill said: “The happy news you brought me today, to be a part of your life for the rest of your life. Happy 90th birthday to you all.”
