Fans fume over mummy blogger’s ‘social media break’ as her husband takes over role of filming the kids: ‘They need to put the phone down!’

Indy Clinton fans were outraged after the mummy blogger announced she was taking a “social media break” but her husband took over filming.

The 26-year-old social media star has amassed a whopping 1.9 million followers on TikTok with her videos documenting her husband Ben Azar’s daily family life.

She often shares fun videos of her children Navy (3), Bambi (1) and Soul (6 months) and discusses the realities of motherhood with three small children.

However, she has been absent from her pages for the past week due to a ‘social media hiatus’, previously announcing that she would return to the platform on August 9.

Her Instagram bio reads: “I’ll be away from August 25th to August 9th, don’t miss me too much.”

Although she herself is not active on Instagram, her husband Ben has started posting family updates on her TikTok in recent days.

Ben, who is nicknamed Big Ed because he reminds fans of the 90 Day Fiancé star, returned to the platform on Monday to take over its regular programming.

He has since posted a second vlog, in which he gives fans a series of updates on their family life, while holding baby Soul and speaking to the camera in the footage.

He took over her social media and said, ‘You know Indy’s not on social media, that’s good for her. I’m just going to take this over, I don’t think anyone gives a shit, but if you do care.’

In one of the videos, Indy can be heard talking to Ben off-camera. Despite her hiatus from social media, she remains involved in the daily videos.

However, fans had mixed reactions to Ben taking over her posts, urging the family to ‘put the phone down’ and stay off social media altogether.

“They should just put their phones down and be a family without vlogging, that should be possible,” someone wrote on a Reddit forum.

“I thought she was away for work and when I realized it was just a variation of her actual appearance I was like… GET YOUR OWN FEATURE,” shared a second.

“It’s a matter of attention. It’s like when people go online and read a vague book. They’re looking for attention and validation,” claimed a third.

However, other fans joined Indy’s support en masse, sharing how entertained they were by Ben’s take on Indy’s daily vlogs, especially when he burned the vegetables while trying to cook dinner.

‘I look forward to these vlogs every day. You guys are amazing. We miss you Indy,’ one person wrote, while another said: ‘Ben is actually such a good vlogger!’

A third commented: ‘Those burnt vegetables make me angry,’ while a fourth wrote: ‘Okay, but I actually like vegetables like that.’

“Love this new perspective oh my god,” said a fifth, while another added: “Lovely to see this family again, I’ve missed you guys.”
