The families of England’s players are facing huge travel chaos ahead of the 2024 European Championship final in Berlin on Sunday.
One player’s parents have even decided to drive to Germany for the match, as they are unable to book a direct commercial flight to the country’s capital for this important clash.
Because there are too few flights to Berlin for the final, many families are asking if they can take a private jet.
One family was offered a prize of £18,000 for a return flight, while others were told there were no landing spots available.
There are also no direct commercial flights back to London on Monday, adding to the misery.

Before the semi-final victory over the Netherlands on Wednesday, families were pleased with the availability of direct flights into Berlin.
But a player’s friend said: ‘Within minutes of the final whistle, all direct flights to Berlin had left. It’s a nightmare for us to get there now.’
Given the size of the match, it was expected that a larger number of family members and friends would come to Berlin this weekend.
But the difficulties in arranging travel could have implications for those wanting to attend one of the greatest matches in England’s history.
If England become European champions, the players will share a bonus pot worth up to £10 million.

The players can expect a substantial cash prize if they become European champions for the first time in Berlin.
Some players are also eligible for personal cash bonuses through their individual sponsorship agreements.
For example, industry sources have suggested that Harry Kane is likely to receive a financial reward if he wins the tournament’s Golden Boot through his deal with Sketchers.
Kane is the top scorer with three goals, along with Spaniard Dani Olmo and a host of other players who are no longer participating in the tournament.
The Football Association has not commented on the structure of the player bonuses.

Meanwhile, players from the Euro 2020 squad who were defeated in the final by Italy and are not in the new squad are considering attending Sunday’s final after all.
Former vice-captain Jordan Henderson and Harry Maguire are reportedly among the players considering a trip to Berlin. However, there have been major problems with booking trips to Germany this weekend, leading to major travel chaos for the families of players involved in Sunday’s tournament.
“I’ve heard that some of them have come out to support us. It’s a sign of great appreciation for them as individuals,” Walker told talkSPORT.
‘Of course it’s a big disappointment that we’re not there, but it shows how united we are. They still want to come and support us.
‘I know a lot of players would be sulking and thinking “I wish I was there”, but they want to come and share the moment and if we win, I’m sure they’ll be in the dressing room afterwards celebrating because they deserve it and they’ve been part of it.’
