Fake heiress Anna Delvey showed off her bejeweled anklet during New York Fashion Week on Wednesday.

The 33-year-old Russian, whose real name is Anna Sorokin, is notorious for falsely posing as a German heiress to gain social status and for defrauding a series of banks, hotels and private individuals of $275,000.

While attending the Untitled&Co fashion show at The Altman Building, she added silver and black jewels, in the shape of the brand’s logo, to her ankle bracelet.

Anna went to great lengths to hide the label, wearing a quirky mini dress with a graphic-print bodice and a short rara skirt.

She lifted her height with a pair of white stiletto heels and wore a black jacket over it. She accessorized with a tiara and a rosette.

Anna, who modeled at the event, later changed into a leather maxi dress and a sheer, sequined two-piece suit for her second and third looks.

For years, she posed as a wealthy heiress and defrauded banks, hotels and individuals of $275,000. She is currently preparing for her role on Dancing With the Stars.

Anna was arrested in 2017 and found guilty of grand larceny, second-degree theft, and theft of services.

The fraudster was sentenced to four to 12 years in prison and was released from prison under house arrest in 2022. She was also banned from using social media.

Her immigration attorney John Sandweg confirmed to DailyMail.com that Anna’s house arrest has been lifted in recent weeks, allowing her to compete on DWTS.

‘Earlier last month, the court amended the conditions of Ms. Sorokin’s release, removing the requirement that she be under house arrest.’

As for how Delvey will handle appearing on the show in addition to her ongoing trial, Sandweg added, “She won’t be able to miss any of her trials without permission from the court. She’ll also have to report to ICE regularly.”

Natalie Maniscalco, publicist, CEO and founder of bluePRint Communications, claimed that the casting was “undoubtedly a misguided PR attempt to boost ratings” and that it “raised serious ethical concerns for the network.”

She told DailyMail.com: ‘As a family-oriented network, this decision damages the show’s reputation and indicates that ABC puts ratings above family values.

‘It sends a disturbing message that in our country there are few consequences for someone’s actions – all it gets you is a book deal, a movie adaptation and now a role on DWTS, all with a hefty salary.

“This choice by ABC is a poor reflection of the network and its commitment to responsible programming.”

The backlash against the notorious con artist spread quickly on X after the cast was announced. One user wrote, “Someone actually put Anna Delvey on DWTS like she’s not a criminal, I just-“

Another added: ‘Of all the actors, singers, athletes or influencers in the world @officialdwts picks Anna Delvey for this season?! That’s embarrassing.’

“I had to make a quick comment on the #DWTS cast. Anna Delvey, really?” another viewer responded. “Casting decisions like this are the reason Tom Bergeron quit.”

Another added: ‘WHY do we reward criminals with more publicity? Anna Delvey needs to be voted out ASAP… if she was a good person maybe… but no. Stop. I support Jen or Phaedra!!!’

‘I want Anna Delvey voted off in the first week of the show. PLEASE AND THANK YOU,’ said another.

Other fans expressed their anger over Delvey being linked to recently promoted professional dancer Ezra Sosa.

One fan mused, “I hope they don’t give her Ezra. That wouldn’t be fair to his first season. If she gets knocked out early, that wouldn’t be cool for him.”

Another added: ‘I’m glad Ezra is getting a promotion on #DWTS but I won’t be happy if his partner is Anna Delvey like the rumors say. That’s just cold feet; the newbie will have a criminal partner for the first time.’

DailyMail.com has contacted ABC for comment.

Delvey’s story inspired the wildly popular Netflix series Inventing Anna, starring Anna Chlumsky, Julia Garner and Arian Moayed.

She also recently announced that she will star in a new reality show, Traits, in which contestants must “use deception and lies and not let people see who they really are.”

During Wednesday’s Good Morning America, Delvey said casually that she just wanted to let viewers at home know “how good I am at the Cha-Cha.”

Sports Illustrated model Brooks Nader, 28, Family Matters actor Reginald Veljohnson, 72, Real Housewives of Atlanta‘S Phaedra Parks50, former football player Danny Amendola, 38, NBADwight Howard, 38, and Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin actress Chandler Kinney, 24, are among those competing early in the season.
