Emma Navarro crashes out of Wimbledon after rising American tennis star’s stunning victory over Coco Gauff

Emma Navarro has been sent off from Wimbledon after her surprise win over Coco Gauff.

The rising American tennis player lost 6-2, 6-1 in the quarterfinals on Tuesday to world number 7 Jasmine Paolini.

In any case, it is her best Grand Slam performance to date.

Navarro, now ranked No. 17 in the world, surprised the American tennis world with her victory over No. 2 Gauff last Sunday.

Navarro defeated her compatriot in three sets, 6-4, 6-3, in front of the crowd on Centre Court.

But that momentum came to an end on Tuesday when Paolini became the first Italian woman to reach the semifinals of Wimbledon.

Before this year, Paolini had never won a match on grass or reached the second round of a major tournament.

“It’s amazing to win on this special court and I’m so happy to be in the semi-finals,” she said.

“It’s so special, a dream to be here in this position. I used to watch finals on this court as a kid, it’s strange to be here.”

New Yorker Navarro was the first to break blood in the match, with a decisive serve that put him ahead 2-1 in the first set.

But Paolini, visibly irritated, hit back immediately, setting up a run of six games in a row, deciding the first set and holding her own at the start of the second set.

Navarro stopped the bleeding in the next round and then started with her fearsome forehand, which led to a break point.

Navarro played an encouraging game, but Paolini managed to get under him and from that moment on the 19th-placed team did not play again.

The victory was achieved in just 58 minutes and Paolini will now face world number 37 Donna Vekic in the semi-finals.
