Married At First Sight’s Duncan James was less than impressed after he was forced to exchange an expensive gift he bought for his girlfriend Evelyn Ellis.
The reality TV star, 37, shared a video on Instagram of the moment he surprised his girlfriend with Cartier jewelry on her birthday.
But he was left devastated when she opened the box and told him she already had the same necklace.
“Last week she was stuffing her birthday present,” he captioned the video.
He then shared another video of him taking Evelyn to the luxury jewelry store to redeem her gift.
The video shows a dejected Duncan waiting in a long line to enter the store while holding the unwanted gift.
After entering, Evelyn can’t wipe the smile off her face as she tries on a silver Juste un Clou bracelet, which retails for $6,250.
Duncan is then seen paying for the item before leaving the store.

“I’ve realized that it always costs more when you go back a second time,” he captioned the hilarious video.
Duncan and Evelyn have been doing well since they announced they were dating in May last year.
Evelyn confirmed her relationship with fellow MAFS groom Duncan, who was paired with Alyssa Barmonde on the show.
The pair, who were pictured kissing and cuddling on a date night in Sydney, revealed it was ‘exciting’ and ‘liberating’ to finally go public after months of rumours.
‘We have a relationship. This is our hard launch,” Evelyn told Nine.com.au at the time.
“It feels good to finally just say it and it feels quite exciting in a strange, liberating way,” the Maxim cover girl added with a laugh.
