Celine Dion arrived back at her Paris hotel at 1:30am on Wednesday amid rumours she would perform at the Olympic Games opening ceremony on Friday.
The iconic singer, 56, looked cheerful as she waved to her fans who were waiting to see her.
Celine, who has documented her heartbreaking battle with incurable stiffness syndrome in her new documentary, will reportedly perform La Vie en Rose on the legendary River Seine with Lady Gaga on Friday.
Celine, who has yet to make an official comment on the speculation, looked chic in a black dress as she arrived back at her accommodation.
She completed her outfit with stylish feathered heels and wore her locks pulled back, opting for a demure makeup look.

French journalist Thierry Moreau reported on Wednesday that Gaga and Celine have been rehearsing the song, with Dion wearing a pink and black feathered cape by Dior.
Celine previously promised that despite her suffering she would return to the stage, ‘even if she has to crawl’.
A source has said TMZ that she is “getting ready to hit the stage on Friday” and that she is “feeling great” despite her ongoing health issues.
In 1996 she sang ‘The Power of the Dream’ during the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Atlanta. The song was written and produced especially for this occasion.
For this edition, Dion narrated a short video campaign titled L’invincible courage, celebrating the courage of the athletes on the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic teams.
Celine last performed live during her Courage world tour in Newark, New Jersey on March 8, 2020. She then canceled her tour due to the Covid pandemic.
Variety The singer is rumored to be opening Friday’s ceremony, her first performance since stepping out of the spotlight.

“It is her big dream to be back on stage, in whatever way, even if she can’t sing anymore. She just wants to see those beaming faces.”
According to John Hopkins Medicine, stiff person syndrome is a “rare autoimmune neurological disorder that typically causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms that come and go and may worsen over time.”
